Let's say a bloop user has a website... it could be a business or a fansite or... well, whatever you may want other people to visit. What if there was a way to buy advertisement space on Bloop? I have no use for Bloopxtra, but I could use some advertisement space on a well populated website. You could charge more for a banner style link and the cheapest would be a text link. maybe on the main page or something? I'm sure there are a lot of kinks in this idea, but just throwing the it out there. I hope I'm putting this in the right spot.

I personally think that's a fantastic idea!
I don't have any use for it, but I know some people would. ;D

I think this is a GREAT idea! I know all kinds of people that would like to advertise their websites or eBay stores on here. I personally wouldn't have any use for it, but I know COUNTLESS people that would probably love this idea.

I think it sounds like a good idea.
However, I personally don't think Bloop gets enough hits from random people to where I would consider it a good idea to even advertise on.
I mean a lot of us who use it our regulars it seems.
And then there are a lot of random people...who probably don't even stay longer than a month.
I mean sure the people who log on daily on Bloop will see it...again and again and again...but how many of us on this website will need/use the business being advertised.
And I don't really see a fan site getting much craze on Bloop...to many random people with random interests here.

I may have over thought this.

I think the same thing about the current ads though...
Most of those aren't things that I would be inclined to look at!

What rates would we charge, and for what? The main page of Bloop only gets between 1k to 2k of page views a day.

Maybe charge similarily to the cost of xtra. I dunno what would be reasonable. I also don't know what people would pay.

I like the idea, but at the same time, how many of us have the ads hidden due to bloop xtra?

Maybe if this were incorporated there could be a way to allow user-submitted ads and block the others? or to block all of them together. I think that'd be neat.

Man if I spent my hard-earned Gs on Xtra, I wouldn't want any ads getting through, user or otherwise. xD But the idea of being able to selectively block is very cool.
