I just returned from Myrtle Beach. It was rather a whirlwind trip, we left the house around 12:30PM Friday and got home at 4:30PM today so we were at the beach less than 24 hours. We arrived early enough to get our shopping done Friday, most of the Black Friday shoppers were exhausted and leaving just about the time we arrived. We checked in the motel (which was VERY nice, especially for the price) and dropped the dog off in the room then hit two different outlet malls. We both got very lucky with shoes, I bought one pair and she bought two pairs. She also found a raincoat and jeans jacket, I got a new pair of sunglasses and a replacement battery and charger for my hedge trimmer. Oh, and I did stop at a cast-iron cookware outlet today on the way home. I picked up a large flat griller that was a factory second, it had some minor pitting on the bottom but was otherwise perfect.
We turned in early Friday night, we were tired from the drive and from shopping so we were in bed by 10PM. I got up around 8AM today, showered, organized our stuff and loaded the car while she was getting ready. We had breakfast then drove out to the State Park to walk on the public pier and see the beach. The weather was gorgeous, it was cool but not uncomfortably cold even in the breeze. We walked the pier then walked down onto the beach for a while. After leaving the beach I drove us back north along Ocean Boulevard past all the hotels and condos, then we went to the Hard Rock Cafe to eat lunch. After lunch we made that one last stop, picked up the cast-iron griller, and drove home.
