We had our first frost of the season this morning. It took me completely by surprise, when I went to bed last night it was raining and I awoke to find frost on the car thick enough that I had a bit of difficulty opening the door. It caused me to be 5 minutes late, I hadn’t allowed time for ice scraping. It’s hard to believe I was at the beach in shirt sleeves only three days ago.
This is weird weather for early December. Not the frost today, but the storms last night and the even more severe storms they are forecasting for tomorrow. I’m almost expecting a plague of frogs or something!
Do any of my readers subscribe to satellite radio? The used car I bought in October came with Sirius installed, with some time remaining on the original subscription that came with the car when it was new. I suspect it runs out in January, that would be one year after the vehicle was originally put into service. After listening to the satellite radio on our trip to the beach this past weekend I’ve decided to keep it active, and I would like to get a portable unit that I could listen to at work as well as put in the other cars whenever I use them on a trip. My concern is that I won’t get good reception at my desk at work. Does anyone have experience with using satellite radio and an indoor antenna? I’d hate to buy the hardware then discover that it’s not usable indoors. For what it’s worth I’m approximately 15 feet from a window. |
