I went to North Carolina this past weekend with a friend, we spent most of Friday at the Hendrick race shops where a friend of ours works. We all went out to lunch then we made our way to the motel for the night. I had been up until 4:30am Friday morning getting my model car almost finished, I only needed to finish applying the decals for the correct markings once I got to the room. I fell asleep in the bed while waiting for us to go out to dinner because I had been operating on two hours of sleep.
Saturday was another early day, we got started at 6:30am to go over to the venue and set up our vendor tables. One of the guys I traveled with molds correct tires and wheels for the race cars of the ‘50s and ‘60s as well as decals and other parts for building models of that era. The model I built used his wheels, tires, and decals.

I arrived back home at 5:30pm Saturday evening, I spent most of the rest of the weekend vegetating and watching the race on TV.
