I was a bit scattered in my last entry, I forgot to mention that the Spousal Unit went to the range with me last Saturday. I wanted her to try out her little revolver, she's had it a year and never fired it. When we got it I verified that she could operate it in dual action mode but the combination of nerves and fear when trying to fire it at the range gave her problems. She was shaking like Don Knotts with the DT's and couldn't get the hammer to drop. After we got home I let her try my larger Ruger Security Six revolver and my FNP-9M semi-auto and she could operate both of them while at home with no pressure. The little Smith & Wesson revolver DOES have a slightly harder trigger pull than the Ruger since the Ruger is fully broken in and has a pretty nice feel to it. I decided to order some Wolff springs to try and reduce the trigger pull just a bit. Those springs arrived today, I pulled her little revolver down to replace the rebound spring with a lighter one and polish up all the contact surfaces. It's not a lot lighter but it feels more like the Ruger trigger to me now. If she still has a problem I'll swap in the lighter hammer spring but I'd rather not do that if it's not necessary.

I also got my photos from Richard Childress Racing uploaded. Here are a few of them:

The Wheaties and Olympic paint schemes. The Olympic scheme was from the 1996 Winston All Star race, I think the Wheaties was from the 1997 All-Star.

The Peter Maxx design from the 2000 Winston.

One of the Aerocoupes as raced in early '89.

A Modified that Richard Childress raced at Bowman Gray Stadium in the 1960's

The 1977 Monte Carlo that Richard Childress raced in NASCAR.

And the Wrangler Monte Carlo. This one's done in 1987 livery but it's not an accurate restoration because the interior should be blue.
