I finished up the artwork for a sheet of screen-printed decals on Thursday night. I printed out the separations, found one small error in one color, fixed that Friday at lunch and got the artwork files and printouts in the mail to the printers Friday. Here is the artwork and some photos of the cars it replicates in scale:

The famous Chevelle from the 1967 Daytona 500

Mario Andretti and the 1966 Daytona 500 entry

Johnny Rutherford is still the only driver to win a NASCAR race in his first start. The Daytona 100 mile race, 1963

The beautiful but only moderately competitive 1965 Impala

I've been trying to finish up some other projects to bring to Atlanta for the model car show in November. I'm not sure how much I'll finish but I have a realistic chance to finish three between now and then.
Work is in a semi-lull. Not too slow, but things will pick up significantly between now and the end of the month. I'm trying to get some paperwork stuff wrapped up before testing resumes full-force again. Other than that, not much to update. I enjoyed being semi-lazy this weekend, we went to the mall Saturday morning but then came home and I spent most of the weekend relaxing and working on model car projects. |
