We left early but we don't know when we will get to Winterhold because we got a little lost. We are on the right track now but we had to deal with some ice wraiths, wolfs, bears and saber cats. No one was hurt but in this cold, it is hard to draw my bow.
We are close to Winterhold now, I can see it ahead. Hoth has decided to leave the group to go claim some bounties. Now it is just me and Vigilance. With all the practice I have been getting in combat, I think we should be OK.
We have made to Winterhold. I decided to go to the local inn for a meal and a flagon of mead before I go to the college.
When I approached the college, a High Elf called Faralda stopped me and said I had to pass a test to get in to the college. I explained that I was the Dragonborn and had to show her my thu'um in order for her to let me pass.
I spoke to the librarian, Urag gro-Shub, and explained that I needed an Elder Scroll. He said he didn't know where to find one, but gave me some books to read that might help.
One of the books was impossible to read, so I asked Urag gro-Shub about it and he told me it was written by Septimus Signus, a leading authority on the Elder Scrolls. I asked if he knew where I could find Septimus and he told me that he went up north. I will look for him tomorrow. I do not wish to brave these blizzards alone at this time of night. I will take a bed at the inn and leave in the morning. |
