Well I had a few people leave comments or have questions about the Mirena so I decided to update on how it went.
It actually went REALLY well! I had to take both kids with me and they both slept through the whole appointment. My appointment was at 2:00 pm and Brady usually takes a nap between 12 and 1 but I kept him up until we left at 1:30 and he fell asleep in the car. I was out of there by 2:15 and that includes the time it took me to check in, leave a urine sample, get my blood pressure, talk to the doctor, etc etc. Putting the Mirena in took less than 5 minutes and was not painful at all. I was a little nervous once I saw the tools they use to put it in there but it was nothing. They use these little tools to open your cervix a little and when they did that there was SLIGHT cramping and I couldnt feel her put the Mirena in at all. It was over before I knew it and it was a piece of cake. I had a little cramping for about 30 minutes after the appointment that wasnt even bad enough for me to take some tylenol for and I only had spotting for about 2 days. So far I am really pleased with it. I guess the real test will be if it prevents pregnancy HAHA.
Everything else is going good here. Aaron and I went out with my sister and Pat on saturday night and it was so fun. We went to Champions (my work) because they were showing the UFC fight. Mom and Pete came to our house and watched the kids here since we werent going out until 8. It was SO NICE to go out with just adults. Aaron and I havent been out together without a child in over a year so it was really nice to have some adult time and have a glass of wine! Sunday I took Brady to the pool with my sister and Austin and it was alot of fun. Mom watched Evan for me and Aaron stayed here and napped because he was up until 3 am with Pat bc Pat is having a little life crisis right now with his ex and needed to talk. Brady had such a good time. That pool is really cool because the middle is a square that is 4 feet deep with a walkway around it and then the outsides of the pool go from a half foot to 2.5 feet so Brady would walk all over. He had a little swim ring around him and he just walked all around and jumped around. He had a blast.
Thats about all that is new here. I just discovered the Printables section on Nickjr.com and am going to go print out a bunch of coloring pages for Brady.
