Good Day Sunshine

11/02/2010

I'm so sorry, bloop. I want to write here more, but as some of you might know, it's election day here in the U.S. and when you work in Washington DC, things can get quite crazy. Add to that a husband in law school and a neurotic cat, and you don't even have much slack left over for the crazy pregnant lady. Truth is, I can't wait until this little baby is out of my body. My doctor keeps telling me he/she needs to "bake" as long as my body will allow it, but I can't imagine doing this for 42 weeks! I hope I have one of those cool doctors who will induce me once I start getting uncomfortable. Right now I'm not experiencing much of anything. No morning sickness, no having to pee every five minutes. I've been told that can change pretty rapidly, so I guess I'm counting my blessings.

Gotta go. Please make sure you all go out and vote today. Although, to tell you the truth, all parties are the same and all politicians are in bed with one another, so I doubt anything we do can make a difference. Still, go and be a part of democracy!

Where does your husband go to law school?

amen to "all politicians are the same"! It's nice to hear that from someone who "works on the inside" though!

I'm not really a kid person, but don't babies "bake" for 40 weeks, not 42?

yeah, but my doctor said that some women go for 42. I swear to god, if by week 40 I'm still pregnant, I'm stabbing myself in the stomach!

HAHAHAHA! You are the BEST.PREGNANT.WOMAN.EVER!

If you aren't experiencing typical pregnant symptoms right now, what is so difficult with the pregnancy? is it just the lack of drinking/smoking thing?

Well, right now I can't fit into any of my clothes properly, but I'm still too small to wear maternity clothes. My dr. said some women lose weight in the first trimester because of the morning sickness, but since I'm not sick I think I'm getting fat. Also, I can't drink/smoke like I want to. Oh who am I kidding! I still smoke, but not as much! And I drink in moderation. My family is European and everyone has done it with no complications.

I second that! Hilarious! I had the same feelings when I was towards the end of my pregnancy - luckily I was freed of pregnancy at 39 weeks. BEST.DAY.EVER.

Bloop will become your best friend when all the joys of pregnancy take over... lol

I took Ritalin when I was 6 for A.D.D.

I take several medications for Bipolar. I will probably never be able to get off of them, but I'd like to try!

Oh you must be fake... You can't seriously want to do it without pain relief AND want induced. Surely anyone who is pregnant would know that getting induced is a sure way to end up with an epidural. Also getting induced isn't exactly "natural".
