Interesting day at the office (lol. middle aged, much.) - Charles set me up with a remote computer, so I can access their Chinese system, basically. As a result I've been searching job reference numbers all day (again. arrgh!), except this time I wrote them all down in a giant record book because apparently they keep paper records in case the computer system fails -_- sensible, but once again I am an archivist, archiving company names and the tonnage of Pb Concs. they decide to ship -__-; Not complaining too much though, it's better to have something to do, compared to yesterday~
Finally checked out trains to Qingdao properly, but I couldn't find any way to book tickets without going through an American site~ In the end I asked Sabrina for a hand and there's a ticket agency next to the office, so she'll take me there. I'm being baby-sat so badly

She doesn't seem too happy about me taking the train though, it's quite a long way to travel by train, planes are much more convenient. Problematically I travelled to China with an airline that allowed 10kg extra baggage free of charge, meaning I'm now excessively OVER-WEIGHT

Regardless of this Sabrina is argueing that 30kg of baggage is too much to take on a train and I should send it ahead, but I don't trust the university with its own underwear, let alone my luggage (I've over-used exasperated smileys... erm... :|).
There's also the reality that I can't afford a plane ticket, a train ticket alone is around £30+ and Sabrina's suggested going to Beijing at the weekend (again) because her Australian friends are coming over. They've actually got a plan though, as well as the Forbidden City they want to see the Bird's Nest Stadium and the Great Wall (organised buggers)

Either way I want to go, to be sociable and also because a weekend alone would end in staring at a wall or watching Yao Ming jump like some glorified grasshopper.
Anyway! I took some pictures of the buildings on the way home from work;
First is the giant crossing I have to navigate every day

The traffic lights broke today, so I got a taxi straight from the hotel. I figured if I was going to be hit by a car it'd be better to be in another car when it happens

Then there's the German church and concert hall,
And finally a strange horse statue near the hotel, there are a few of these random metal statues everywhere, usually of horses or children...
