[Challenge Books l My Service Diary]

easy breezy as my kids call it.

Yesterday work was easy. Jess told our big boss and his wife (whom are docs) about Jeff's tick and lyme disease and they were really concerned. Jess told Jeff that he just needs to take it easy and Deb (the wife) wants him to come do a follow up with her. Nice thing about this job is they are docs and they see us for free. Bad thing is that I haven't told any of them I have asthma. Jeff's mom was like you should go to them and see if they can give you the medicine for free. I was able to nip that in the butt immediately. If you don't she will go on and on about it for weeks on end. But I told her that if they find that out they may not let me work in the turkey houses because of the ammonia and I'll be out of a job. That shut her up. Nothing worth losing your job over. So basically we walked birds and cleaned the shop up so that we could start washing equipment but it was also nice because we were able to finally pull the car in there and change the brakes. We didn't even have to do that but Jeff actually enjoys doing stuff like that and it wasn't hard on him. I left at 12:30 to go to Jeff's mom's then meet Jess in town to pick up our pay. I didn't think that I would make it because the brakes kept going to the floor and the car was bouncing like mad. Then it was overheating and kept cutting off. Luckily I did make it and bought new brakes and fuel filter which Jeff changed last night. I also got some u-joints which he might do today or tomorrow. I need to get something else that he wants to change while he's got the driveshaft out but we forgot to get it last night. Maybe today. Then we went to Walmart and I got my meds, some christmas potpourri, gift stickers, and two presents for my nieces. That got me really excited. They weren't much but it was just the fact that I have officially started the season that's got me all excited. Especially looking at all the christmas stuff. I did put layaway on two weeks ago but that's not the same as actually having bought something I guess. We ate at Long John Silver's which was a nice change. I was tired of your typical fast food but didn't want to really layout the money for a restaurant or cook lol so yeah, fish and chips. We bought Ice Age 3 and went home to watch it. Awesome! It was so good though Jeff likes the first 2 better. I got another one of my books so I was happy too lol. While I was in the bookstore they had these absolutely gorgeous snow globes but they wanted 25.oo for them. That's the one christmas decoration I want more than anything. A musical snow globe. I haven't seen them anywhere else yet but hopefully I will. I don't want any of those ones that have like a fan and blows around little styrofoam balls. They're fake. I want a real one that winds up on the bottom playing a christmas carol and has a pretty scene with real water and white like snow stuff not glitter. Maybe if I do this equipment washing I can get the one I saw and liked. Anyways, I have to get everyone up for school and work. Later.
