Unsophisticated entry

06/30/2010

begin.

See previous entry for why I thought that was a funny title.

Anyway.

I finally watched Brokeback Mountain. I figured it would be a movie all about being gay, or bi, or whatever. But no. It was a tragic love story. I was sniffing here and there at touching parts, but the instant the credits came up, I was fucking BAWLING. I know, I'm a pussy for movies, but JESUS CHRIST. That was so touching. Moreso because it didn't mention any gay rights or anything. Just two guys in love who also have wives/families.

Oh my god I can't even write how I feel. Fuck.

Just watch it if you haven't.

If you're straight and reluctant, your patience will be rewarded. AWESOME boob seen with Anne Hathaway, then again with *actress name forgotten* err, Ennis's wife. Anne's was best by far, though. She's pretty much just like "Alright, let's fuck, Daddy needs the car back by twelve."

But seriously. Oh my god. They should have sent a poet.

And I'm not even a romance fan. Perhaps it's because they all involve straight couples? haha, I'm biased, I suppose.

end.

lithium layouts.

I loved that film, the bit where Ennis drive away gets me every damn time. And at the end with the shirt. It's one of those films where the little things have the biggest impact.

It wasn't at all what I was expecting either, it's really touching and beautiful. Anne Hathaway is brilliant in it too. In all fairness though, there's not really a week character.

I think Brokeback Mountain was a different kind of romance than the usual fare - and not just 'cause it was two guys. I think it was because it didn't really "mention" love. It did a lot more showing than telling.
And yeah, Anne Hathaway's character was cool.

My little sis told me not to watch it, that it would be too graphic for me. I watched it and it wasn't. I agree, I found it a tragic love story and very well done. Ledger & Gillnehaul(sp?) were very good and so was Innis's wife. I found it much sadder than I had expected and it stayed with me for weeks.

I am not one to be shy about any subject matter have problems with others choices and or lifestyles even if I might disagree with them so I found the movie outstanding.

Am I actually forgetting the boob scene? lol

I wasn't a HUGE deal, but it was sudden and kind of hilarious.

And yeah, Gyllenhaal is the most impossible last name ever.

I actually just watched it as well! It wasn't anything like I thought it would be but I absolutely loved it. It had me crying as well.
