love everybody tonight

04/19/2009

I am listening to a baseball game on my XM and a playoff basketball game on my radeo. I love this time of the year. If I wanted, there is also playoff hockey on.

The great football coach and broadcaster retires from broadcasting.
I heard a story from an ESPN radeo person that shows why everyone loves John Madden.

John was taking a bus from California to the Green bay detroit game. He stopped in Detroit area and went into a diner. The guy at the next table asks "mr. Madden, how do you see the game on Sunday?"
Madden replies: I think the Lions are going to do well.
The next day he is in green bay area and as he is checking into his hotel, the person at the desk asks him "Mr. Madden, how do you see the game on sunday?

Madden response: "I think Green bay will do well."

What I learned from this, tell people what they want to hear and everyone will love you.

I got tickets from my best friend for my birthday for the presidents of the united states of America. The concert was Friday night. We have seen them many many times before. The concert was held at the bran new Boston's house of blues. It was built right across the street from Fenway Park. They knocked down two clubs that had been there for many many years to build this. The place was defanately clean and the sound quality was better but it was still the same place. The group was fun as always. Getting the croud into it and playing a mix of new fun songs and old favorites along with funny stories and Boston refreneces that showed that the group really did spend time living in the Boston area for a few years.

When we had gone in, the redsox were losing 7-2 when we got out, the game had just got out too. The song that they plays when they win, was playing "dirty water" by the drop kick murphey's. I could not believe it. When we got in the car we put the sports channel on to find the redsox won 10-8.

Monday is the 114th? running of the Boston Marithon.
Concurrently, the Redsox will play their anual Patriots day-marithon morning game start. I have to check to see if the game is starting at 11 AM or 10 AM. You want to talk about crazy? Try getting out of a game with 38,000+ people and walking into a croud of a few millions.

I went to my sister's football game last night. its friggen cold out there in the stands.
For those who dont know, my sister plays for a professional woman's football (dela america) team. She plays defence. I dont know what position though. I think defensive end. If it wasnt for the fact that I brought my radeo to listen to the redsox game, I would have been extreamly bored. My sister's team ended up winning 42-0 in the first game of the season.

On Thursday, I listened to the pre-game of the New York Yankee and Cleveland Indians when the Yankees opened their 1.3 Billian dollar stadium. It was nice. They had about 40 old timers come out, most being Hall of Famers. They had John Fogady, he played his "center field" then former Yankee, berny Williams, played his vertion of take me out to the ballgame with his guitar. It was pretty cool.
However, when the game began, that's when the fun really began. The Yankees ended up losing their opening game. They did win Friday however, they got smacked around silly Saturday, as they lost 22-4.

And my redsox beat the Oreo cookies, winning their 3rd in a row after starting off the season very badly.

Seriously, can people stop dying?
My sis in law's cousin's brother in law passed away a few days ago. He was only 52. I never met the guy and he has had a lot of medicle problems for many years but that's like the 6th person in the last 6 weeks I've known to pass away.

Presidents of the united states of america
peaches.

Movin' to the country gonna eat a lot of peaches
I'm movin' to the country I'm gonna eat me a lot of peaches
I'm movin' to the country I'm gonna eat a lot of peaches
Movin' to the country I'm gonna eat a lot of peaches
Peaches come from a can they were put there by a man
In a factory downtown
If I had my little way I'd eat peaches everyday
Sun soakin bulges in the shade

Movin' to the country I'm gonna eat a lot of peaches
Movin' to the country I'm gonna eat a lot of peaches
I'm moving to the country gonna eat a lot of peaches
Movin' to the country gonna eat a lot of peaches

I took a little nap where the roots all twist
Squished a rotten peach in my fist
And dreamed about you woman
I poked my finger down inside makin' a little room for a ant to hide
Nature's candy in my hand or can or a pie

Millions of peaches peaches for me
Millions of peaches peaches for free
Millions of peaches peaches for me
Millions of peaches peaches for free

Look out

Millions of peaches peaches for me
Millions of peaches peaches for free
Millions of peaches peaches for me
Millions of peaches peaches for free

Look out
