Trust me a swing like this is a life saver in some cases, but not to babysit the baby or leave it in there all day. I'm a single mom so I need a break sometimes to do chores and homework. While I completely agree with you about tummy time and little gym mats being very important in developmental health. I tried the slings and they didn't work for me. My baby didn't have a swing when he was an infant because I didn't see the point or have the $. But hind sight is 20/20.
