I was on here a few years ago but left for a variety of reasons. Now that Im a few *several* years older and a whole lot sober, seem silly. But, either way, Im back. It was recommended by my sponsor to "journal" to help get some things out. So, since noone really writes with a pen and paper anymore here I am. Im looking forward to it actually. In the past journaling has really helped me work through some things. So, here goes nothing!
When I was on here previously I actually made some AMAZING friends that I still have, a few I have met in "real life" and some I lost but miss dearly. Its interesting the connection people can have over a computer screen.
I suppose for formality sakes I will post the facts about me:
1. Im 35
2. I have a 13 year old daughter that is the light of my life (isnt that the case with MOST parents are children?)
3. Im a recoving alcoholic (1007 days of continuous sobriety. Thats ALMOST 3 years. But, Im taking it one day at a time)
4. Im engaged to the most amazing man and will be getting married in April.
5. Im a nurse and have been for 16 years.
6. Im a natural redhead
7. I struggle daily with depression and anxiety
8. I had gastric bypass 8 years ago which is one of the reasons I left here. Or rather the reaction people had to my chosing surgery and the mean things they said to me regarding my choice. (can you say childish?)
9. My favorite color is lavender
10. I live about 35 miles from the beach and LOVE it!!!
I suppose that will do for now. I would ramble on but I must get back to work.
