After waking, Delpine and I went down to the secret room to discuss what I had found. It seems she knows this Esbern and tell's me that he know's everything about the dragon lore of the Blades. After taking a look in the dossier, we found that the Thalmor believe him to be in Riften. Delphine thinks that he must be in the Ratway and she has asked me to go and talk to man called Brynjolf because he is well connected. She has also said the Esbern is very paranoid and getting him to trust me will be hard so she said I should ask him where he was on the 30th of Frostfall and that should let him know that she sent me.
I have taken a carriage to Whiterun so I can get Lydia's help finding Esbern. I was very happy to see her again and she seemed to return the sentiment. Now I will go and retrieve Berserker and the team will be back together.
We took a carriage to Iverstead but we decided to walk the rest of the way to Riften.
We found an abandoned camp on our way and a note saying that something was buried near by, when we went to see if we could find it, some treasure hunters attacked us. They were not well trained so defeating them wasn't difficult but I didn't like having to kill them. We did find the buried treasure but it left much to be desired.
As it is late, we have decided to stay at the camp tonight and continue to Riften in the morning. |
