I need a place to write. Someone has to document my life. It might as well be me. At least here, I am free to be my true self.
Living alone, I have no one to talk with. My building does not allow pets. I end up having to talk to the ghost out of boredom. He seems pretty nice. A little mischievous. Lights turning on and off. My cell phone being next to me one minute, and up on the top shelve the next. But besides him, it's just me. A 30 year old woman should not live alone. I should have a husband and four kids by now. Yes four. I always dreamed of four. Yet that is never going to happen.
I should introduce myself. I am Leta. I am 30. I work as a paranormal investigator in a town I wish not to disclose. I may talk about some of my clients here, and I don't want to risk their identity. Ironic enough, I moved into an apartment with the ghost. There are a few photographs I will one day post. I have a boring dayjob too. Data entry from my home. I just like to boast about my other "hobby." At least that is what my ex called it. He never took me seriously. Cunningham and I were married for three years in my early 20s. I was young and dumb. I got pregnant, lost it, found I could never have another kid again, and he couldn't take it and left me. Long emotionally charged annoying story short. I'm over it now. Okay, my inner true self is telling me to confess that that's a lie. I have moments. Being alone leaves me nothing but thoughts.
Let's get to writing.
Last night, I had another case. My client had a three year old girl who's been talking to nothingness since they had moved into the home last year. They had been hearing footsteps, seeing shadows, watching lights flicker, battery drainage in toys and remotes, things hidden, random callings of their names, shoulder taps, and probably a lot more I have not mentioned. The family spent most of their savings, so moving was not an option. The wife was a complete skeptic, believing in nothing but a reasonable explanation, but the husband insisted. So out of amusement, the wife agreed to call us. They were fun people. We had a lot of laughs.
After the family left, we did our initial sweep, took some pictures, and had some EVP sessions. I caught a man saying their daughters name after we asked "why are you here?" My other teammates are going to do research on the house today. As of right now, they owners believe it was built some time in the 1920s. I'm excited to find out what is going on.
Well that's me so far. I cannot wait to post more of my adventures. |
