and the semester has begun

We're hosting this 14 year old boy from France until next week! He's been here since the 29th of July and it's been good (for the most part) and a bit of a pain in the ass. He's with his group M-F which is nice but it's put a huge strain on our water, electric, and food bills. He also leaves the toilet seat up, toothpaste in the sink, the shower dripping, his bed super messy, and sometimes I just want to punch him in the face. He leaves next week (Thursday) so it'll be nice again to just have to deal with my brother and not my brother and another boy.

The semester officially started today. I'm taking physical anthropology (lab), probability and statistics, and abnormal psychology (I'm #5 on the waitlist). Textbooks are going to be super expensive and a massive pain in the ass but it's worth it. I really want to get into the abnormal psych class...they only lecture this class in the fall so I NEED to get into this class!

My 360 broke again, and as it turns out, it was the power cord that was fucked up. So I took it to the tech guys a few blocks away from here and not only did they FIX my 360 but they gave me a new power cord for free. Hell yes. I cannot fucking wait to play Burnout and NFS.

The kittens turned a year old in July. We gave them a huge Friskies "birthday cake" and I made dinner for my mom (they have the same birthdays). Bambina turns a year old in October and she's humongous already. I think she's going through another teething phase because she's biting everything again and it's driving me up the fucking wall. She even has a bed now (she had one before but kept peeing on it so we took it away) which she loves and lays there every night until I start falling asleep and then she jumps on my bed.

I'm going to start writing here more often. Definitely.
