I am a 23 year old mother and fiancee totally in love with and proud of her family. I'm Wiccan, a Gay and animal rights activist and very open with my opinions. These facts lead to very interesting and sometimes difficult situations that could lead to some very interesting entries. Just FYI I have a half sister named Brooke, a step sister named Carrie and a step brother named Zach (the steps are complicated...should make an interesting entry) Anyway that sort of sets the tone for this diary, provided of course for every day events that might pop up. ABOUT MY PREGNANCY:>>>>>>>>>
Were you married when you found out you were pregnant?
umm yes and no...I was still married to my ex-husband because neither of us could afford the divorce but no I was not married to the father when I was pregnant with my daughter...by the time I got pregnant with my son I was divorced from my ex-husband but John and I never married and are no longer together
What were your reactions when you found out you were pregnant?
Scared...really scared but excited as well depending on what John's reaction was going to be...with my son I was simply in complete shock because we'd been using birth control and protection! NO JOKE
How old were you?
20 with my daughter 21 with my son
How did you find out you were pregnant?
I started having symptoms but I wanted to ignore them because I was supposedly infertile, my mom kept trying to convince me to take a test but John (the father) was in jail and I kept telling myself not to get my hopes up. But one night at about 11 o'clock I went to pee and vomited for no reason so I went ahead and took the test and didn't even have time to sit the thing on the counter before it said pregnant!....with my son I started having abdominal pain and went to the hospital they did a pregnancy test before taking x-rays and they came back positive

yes and I did with both
Due date?
February 23rd 2009 for my daughter and February 23rd 2010 with my son NO KIDDING THEY HAD THE EXACT SAME DUE DATE!!!
Did you deliver early or late?
late with my daughter early with my son
Did you have morning sickness?
nope I had the one bought of vomiting that made me take the test and then one more when I made the mistake of taking my pre-natal with grape juice on an empty stomach and that was my only sickness problem during the entire pregnancy with my daughter...with my son I had some nausea for the first few months but that was it
What did you crave?
Taco Bell at first and then a #3 biggie sized from Wendy's with no cheese with my daughter...with my son cheddar cheese pretzel combos
Did you get stretch marks?
already had stretch marks from a time when I'd blown up really big in school so no I didn't get any new ones that I know of
What was your child's sex?
a girl the first time a boy the second then I got my tubes tied
How many pounds did you gain throughout the pregnancy?
about 20 with my daughter and lost 5 with my son
Did you have any complications during your pregnancy?
I almost miscarried not long after I found out I was pregnant because my cervix wouldn't close correctly and the doc wanted me to lose the baby because he felt like I was to young to be pregnant so he refused to inform me that all he had to do was insert one dissoluble stitch in the cervix to keep it closed. And then Isabel was born with the cord wrapped around her neck, head and body....no complications with my son at all other than his umbilical cord also being wrapped around his neck and when he came out his body temperature was to low

How many hours were you in labor?
27 hrs. with my daughter and with my son I was in labor for 17 hours but 16 of that was unmedicated!!
was it natural or c-section?
natural with both
Did you take medicine to ease the pain?
two fenigrin shots into my IV that I can remember and an epidural but they turned it off about two hours before I had the baby so I felt EVERYTHING when she came out...with my son they tried pain medication through the night but it didn't work then about 14 hours in they tried morphine THAT didn't work FINALLY 16 hours in they gave me the epidural and I had my son one hour later
How much did your child weigh?
My daughter was 8lbs 8oz. my son was 7lbs. 8oz.
What did you name him/her?
Isabel Aurora is my daughter and Talon Tommie Alastair is my son
How old is your 1st today?
1 year 8 months
How old is your 2nd today?(if applicable)
almost 9 months
Is he/she named after anyone?
my son's middle name Tommie is after my grandfather who raised me and who I see as pretty much being my father!
How long were you in the hospital after birth?
3 days with both
Who was in the delivery room with you?
John (the father), my mom and my best friend of 18 yrs. Wendi with both kids and my little sister Brooklyn was there too with my sons birth
Are you ready for another?
I had my tubes tied after my son, I think two is enough especially considering how close they are in age
