That would piss me off. He's not making it about you and what you need, he's making it about him and what he wants. It isn't hard to listen to your partner and work with what they need, but he's not doing that.
If it happens again, try saying something like "you're not listening to me; I need you to do xyz instead of abc right now. If you can't do that, then I need to be alone."

I get them sometimes. I also have anxiety, so I take a medicine called citalopram. I also take heart medication and bloodpressure medication.

Dogs being destoryed after biting someone
|
I agree to a degree - and in some cases the dog really isn't at fault.. but those dogs often require some SERIOUS rehabilitation & training that can cost a LOT of money or requires someone with expertise in it.. They are often unable to be adopted out for safety/legal reasons.. and the owners are much more likely to say "put them down" vs trying to take responsiblity for them. Some dogs have bitten for no reason, simply because they don't like a situation they're in - and they are animals, ya know? A LOT of dogs (Like Mickey in Arizona) bit because of terrible environments.
I know a lot of animal lovers think that ALL animals can & should be rehabilitated but the truth is that when Susie and her Mom go into the animal center to adopt a dog, they aren't going to adopt a dog that's bitten Joey down the street - they're not likely to adopt a dog with behavioral problems - and they're going to want that cute little puppy in the window of the pet store who has no "baggage". Sad, but true.
So, super important to spay & neuter your pets & animals to decrease the population and avoid unwanted pups ending up in bad homes.

Yeah me too. That's why I have the phoenix out front, cuz every time I look over my shoulder now I see it in the corner of my eye. A small reminder that I can rise above anything.....

Peacock and phoenix are my two favorite birds. Peacock feather facing down-beautiful and misunderstood. Phoenix feather facing up- rising from the ashes/struggles of life. Infinity ribbon in the middle- ties both together, this is who I am till the end of time. Overall shape-my zodiac sign. I am a Pisces. That's the meaning.

like argh, men are just such blah sometimes!
|
As someone coming from the other side of spurned advances, sometimes it bums us out and makes us feel unwanted/unattractive/unloved/not enough. His mood isnt justified, but there is reason for it and the flowers (to me, at least) say that he is sorry for being a turd about it but it doesnt make him feel any less turdy. Does that make sense? Anyway, you guys should talk about it. Dont get keep the silence going.

honestly i would have given the flowers back to him because of the silent treatment. But i'm like that, don't give me something and treat me terribly afterwards. They lose their meaning then.
I find lately men are pms'ing.
hope he snaps out of his mood hun

I think if you start exercising it will help your anxiety. The old saying "a healthy body is a healthy mind" has a lot of truth

health anxiety

I have anxiety bout heart attacks all the time. I drink & smoke plus I'm overweight ...my bio mom died at 38 (I'm 37) so I'm told. My adoptive mom died at 46 of pneumonia cus her drinking killed her immune system. I think exercise can only strenghen your heart. Maybe just walking everyday since you have palipitations.

My oldest son does it. BAD. Like, he will be in tears convincing himself he's dying because his foot went to sleep.

Welcome to bloop. I have been here since 2003 and love it. (obviously)
Some people talk about day-to-day things...things that bother them, annoy them, make them happy, upcoming events, vacations, maybe complains about family, friends or work.
I do all that and post my poetry here for people to (hopefully) enjoy. So if you are a writer of any sort, feel free to share, if you'd like.
