Gamer's, Geeks, people of W.O.W., Lend me your beers...er, sorry, eyes actually.
I've posted once or twice now about the Guise Knights' new site (www.guiseknights.com)
and now that I've gotten things worked out, I'm looking for
contributors. People that have interesting points of view on games,
gaming, and general geek life. I need regular weekly articles, so that
I can turn the site into a sort of web magazine.
If you think you've got the chops, you like writing about games, and you're interested, send me a private message.
Unfortunately, there is no pay. There's probably not going to be
much prestige either, but my goal is to produce quality content, so
maybe you can use the site as a personal reference.
There are a few guidelines:
1.)
As a contributor, your posts will be reviewed and approved by a site editor:
Spelling and Grammar Count: If you lack these skills and aren't aware, we'll let you know, and we probably won't use your content - Unless it's VERY good - and if it's THAT good, we'll have YOU fix it.
Make it Interesting: We're trying to be a site people want to visit, but please bare in mind that what you like might not be intriguing for everyone -- Think of it like this: You may think that World of Warcraft is the only game anyone should play (EVAR!), while I really get into competitive
Lumberjack events. Make me want to play W.o.W. -- Lot's of luck
2.) Controversial subjects are NOT off limits; However:
We won't tolerate any sort of racial epithets
Profanity must be reigned in (shoot for PG, please. If you feel you must use strong language, self-edit to add visual "BLEEP"s [examples: sh*t, f**k, $#!t], or acceptable euphemisms [Example: frak, shoot].) We're trying to be taken seriously, and if we cuss, curse, and swear; we will look juvenile instead of authoritative.
If you're going to be controversial, please relate it to games, gaming, and/or geek culture. Steer clear of politics, unless it also relates somehow.
We're looking to be a "go to" site, so if you want to be a part of it, let me know.
