What would you say about

12/26/2008

I just got home this morning around 7am from "home". My grandparents dropped me off like a "nasty cat". Haha, I told them I wanted to go home VS. eating breakfast with them. I had too many things to do around the house to go eat. Besides, they needed to get home asap because bad weather is supposed to be coming into their area around noon. It is a 3-4 hour trip to my hometown.

The first thing I did was feed my confounded cats. I could not find a person to feed them while I was gone and I didn't have time to feed them enough for all 3 days the morning I left. I made sure I fed the "starving" brats when I returned, that's for sure. I'm sure they were hungry and I did feel bad for them, by the way.

I have to go to the store sometime tonight or tomorrow. It will probably be tomorrow since I work tonight from 5pm-3am. It has been a long day so far. My grandparents left ****** shortly before 4am today. I slept most of the way back to Joplin. I stayed awake long enough to get some small stuff done after I returned home. Around 8:30am or so, I laid down to take a nap. Of course, all the cats were on me instantly. Haha. Around 1:45pm, I got a phone call from my big boss at BK. She was wanting me to go to a funeral with her since we both knew the sister to the deceased person.

Jackie used to work at BK when I worked there the first time. I'm not sure of the circumstances and/or reasons, but her younger sister passed away on Dec. 22. I went to the sister's funeral to show support to Jackie and Heather (my boss). Heather didn't want to go alone and I understood that. The graveside service was beautiful. It was sparsely populated and simple, but still beautiful. Hers was the first funeral I have ever attended...counting my own mother's or my friend Melanie's. I wasn't allowed to attend my mother's funeral (family decision) and I don't think I knew about Melanie's funeral in time to attend. I did go to Melanie's memorial service however.

Do you want to hear something ironic? My cousin called me TODAY to ask me if I was still in my hometown. I LEFT today. She should have been there when I was and she would have seen me. Haha. However, I did not have to practically scream into my phone when I was talking to her. My cousin Shilo gave me an extra phone she had lying around her house. She is one of those people who keeps on buying the latest and greatest phone because she just HAS to have it. Haha. I was fine with saving money (since March 2008) if it meant I had to scream into my phone. If it had been a more serious problem with the phone, then I would have replaced it...but obviously, I did do that. Haha. I'm a cheapskate. That's not necessarily a bad thing either.

Well, I'm out of here. I have things to do before I head off to work. Eating is one of my main priorities now. My stomach is being a cheeky beggar! Talk to you later.--Robyn
