Christmas Car Shenanigans

My car did decide that it hated me and wanted to fall apart, literally.  The front panel piece of one of my car handles popped off dramatically. I was literally just opening my door.  The latch mechanism is still there.  That is what happens when manufacturers make plastic car handles....just saying.  

Then, on Christmas night, my transmission light came on in my car.  I was tired and did not see it correctly at first.  I did get some maintenance issues that came up while I was trying to fix that.  I still had to drive 4 hours home the next day.  You better believe I was gripping the wheel and praying my entire way home that I got home safely.  I did too....thank the heavens.  I still have to figure out why my infernal light came on.  I also have to get a window motor replaced in one of rear windows.  Let's just say that my car looks janky.  Haha.

I did have a good Christmas despite all those woes.  I actually spent it with my family.  I have not spent christmas with them in probably close to 10 years.  I usually am with friends because I live too far away from family. I saw my sister and we had a decent  interaction for the first time in 6 years.  It was very cathartic and I am thankful for it.  There is way more work to get close to how we were before everything happened, but it is progress and I am happy.
