Sick of Racism

02/09/2011

Sick of Rasim
Work is going well. I've only worked two days so far but I still like it. Its nice to finally have a paycheck again. I got home about 4 a.m. this morning, started work at 9 p.m. We worked at the Old Navy in the Woodland mall. At least I think it was the Woodland. Next week I work at a Gap. Got to love having to count a stores inventory.
So I'm trying to keep my temper down with my step dad. This isn't an easy task anymore. I pretty much want to deck him in the mouth every time he opens his mouth. Because half the time what comes out is so racist it sickens me. I don't understand people that are racist. I guess my mind just doesn't function like that, and that's a good thing. If he isn't bitching about whats going on in the middle east he is bitching about how he should be suing the state government because he has to supply his social security number while illegal immigrants don't. Now don't get me wrong I am not happy about the illegal immigrants, but that doesn't mean I am racist towards them. I know that people come to the United States because of the freedom that they don't get in their own country. And so they can also live the “American Dream”. But my step father just doesn't get that just because they are illegal doesn't make them bad people or terrorists. And don't get him started about Middle Eastern peoples. To him they are all plotting against the USA. I don't know like I said I just don't see it like that. My heart and soul just don't have the racist part.
