Personal Thoughts...Now Not So Personal :3

15th December 2012, 5.30 PM.

Hi again, I'm back from reading some of the other people's entries. Well...it seems that most of the people who has online diaries/journals are teenagers. I was like, WHAT?????? Surely, there must be a younger girl that likes to write Journals, right? So far, I haven't seen any 'little' girl like me. OK, well, not little since I'm 11 but you get the idea. But maybe I just have to keep looking. After all, I didn't read all of them, only some. Still...most of the entries are about jobs or relationships or life. I can't imagine any 11-year-old girl or older having jobs or relationships (LOLZ). I feel like the odd one out. But hey, it makes me special. Ooooh, yeah! Just kidding. I was just writing what was going on in my mind. :3

My family and friends say that my stories and compositions are great and that I should write a book, but I really don't feel the same way. I've seen a couple of entries that actually look like they're part of a book! And I'm an amatuer, since I only write if I have the inspiration. Professionals write whether they have inspiration or not. I feel like I'm a fail at everything. But I'm not THAT negative. I'm friendly and furry, fun and all smiles! Well, that's what I think of myself (you can decide what you think of me for yourself). Plus, I'm annoying. :3 I don't really think I'm annoying, though. I only annoy my friends but think maybe it's the need to show-off? No idea, but I really wish I could stop. But I can't. Oh yes, I know, people will say "You can! You just have to try!" if I say that. And if I say that I AM trying, they'll say "Well, you're not even trying! Try!" OK, I guess they wouldn't say all that, but my other self says so. Umm...yeah, I talk to myself. A lot. But that's not wierd. Everybody talks to themself. Well, not like looking in the mirror and have a conversation (with themselves!) but when they're thinking, they think to themselves, right? That's in my opinion, at least.

Wow, that was a personal thought I've never told anyone (yet :3). I can't believe I told it to total strangers instead (err...no offence!). But I get reassured when I think of this book, "Casper The Commuting Cat". It's a true story! And when Casper died, people all over the world reached out to his owner, Sue. Maybe they were starngers, but they were friends too, in a way. ^^

...I talk too much. -.-"
This is my Journal, where I will pour out my views, opinions, and thoughts. If you don't agree with any of those, well, I cannot tell you what to do but I ask you to please be polite when commenting. Thank you and have a nice day. :3

Most people on the site are adults in their twenties, I find, although they were teenagers when they first joined. There isn't anyone younger than teenage, because thirteen is officially the minimum age to use the site, so you might be asked for parental consent or something.

Really? I just joined but I wasn't asked for parental consent. I'm glad I could join, though.

Yeah, I know - the site just lets you join without asking you to read the rules. If you scroll to the bottom of the page, you'll see a link to the 'user agreement' and that contains the things you're supposed to agree to, one of which is being at least 13 years old. In the past, diaries of people younger than 13 were just deleted, but it just occurred to me that maybe another option would be parental consent. I don't know if that is an option though.

OMG!!! WHAT???!!! DELETED??? BUT I ALREADY HAVE FOUR ENTRIES (the fourth one is super long!)!!!!!!!!!

[TheDreamSignature|0 likes] [|reply]

Well, that is why I mentioned it, just in case - you might like to back them up. I think it's a legal thing that you have to be 13 to have an online diary, but I'm sure it could be overridden with parental consent or something.

How do you back them up? Do you mean like saving them somewhere else? And if my diary gets deleted, what do I do with the backups?

[TheDreamSignature|0 likes] [|reply]

You could save them somewhere else, yes. You could also download your diary - that's an option under 'manage my diary'. But with just five entries, you could easily copy and paste them into a word document.

As for what you do with the backups, that's for you to decide.

Yeah. There aren't really young people on this site. Not as young as you anyway, and not really many teens either.

It's actually a legal thing to be a member of ANY website that you must be 13 or older. It absolves websites of [some of] the liability for having such minors on.

Really? Wait, I think you're right. Like, the common websites like YouTube or Facebook has an age limit older than my current age. Well, except Twitter. >:3

Twitter's kind of boring, though.

[TheDreamSignature|0 likes] [|reply]

Yeah, I hate Twitter. But yes, all websites that deal with people interaction and such. Possibly even if they don't, just in case. I'm not quite sure how the ones intended strictly for younger children work, if it's because it's implied that adults will be present to help them, or what. =shrug=

But then you must have been a member of websites in the past, since you met your best friend online, and you've said that on other websites you spam people when you're bored. What sorts of sites were they, and how did you get round the age restriction? Do you normally get your parents to sign you up to websites?

Err...I usually do what most kids do, that is, I put a fake date. But I've started to stop doing. I don't why but I just felt like I didn't want to lie about my age anymore. For instance, there was this website called www.petadoptables.com. I like pet websites but the age limit was 13. :x So I didn't make an account there.

When I was younger, well not so young, but when I was still lying about my age, I made accounts at websites like:
1)www.facebook.com
2)www.youtube.com
3)www.steampowered.com

I guess there were other websites but I don't remember at the moment. But the third website is very popular, especially around kids. I know that lots of kids do fake dates for their birthdays. It's a gaming community and also where I got Team Fortress 2 and Garry's Mod. I remember I was on a server on TF2, and there was this kid that asked another kid what his age was. The kid that was being asked said he was Primary 5, which is 11 years. Then another kid admitted that he was that same age. Then I admitted that I was 11 years. Nothing happened to my account, though.

As for spamming, I usually only spam like CSKSJNXAJOAND or without caps but only with my friends and usually at Facebook. And as for meeting my best friend, I met her at my used-to-be favourite game, Transformice. That's another website without an age limit. You just need a username and a password.
