Dream #12: Don't Starve

MONDAY
30th December 2013, 11.50 AM.

Three days before school starts... I had this dream today and I have no idea why it's so heavily based on watching videos. O.o

~~~
Don't Starve
Some random guy was driving a white truck and the RED's Soldier, who was wearing a Spartan cape from 300, was attacking him for absolutely no reason. The Soldier had somehow been teleported from the past to the future and he was stark raving mad nuts. He swung an axe (kinda like this but with a longer handle and a smaller blade) up high in the air and slammed it into the windshield. He was surprised when the axe only made a crack in the windshield and got stuck in the glass (safety glass FTW). The driver took the advantage of his surprise and turned sharply to the left, colliding with a building to throw (or squish) the Soldier off. There was a splatter of blood on the windshield. Thinking that the Soldier was dead, the driver gave a sigh of relief.
Then the Soldier burst out from around the corner with a yell, throwing himself on top of the truck's hood once more, effectively smashing the windshield.
Then the dream scene changed...
The same two nutjobs (the driver and the Soldier) were lying down in a darkened patch of grass. They got up, groaning, the Soldier straightening his helmet and the driver rubbing his head
"Where are we?" the driver wondered. They were in what seemed like the ruins of an old castle. Getting up, they walked over to where a giant wall should have been, but was knocked down (and all the bricks were...not there). There were meadows outside and a small hill not far from where they were. As they looked down at their feet, they saw a few cute, green frogs hopping towards them. They both smiled, though the Soldier did so gruffly, and bent down, stroking the frogs as they sat by. However, the moment they touched the frogs, the little amphibians turned from green to brown and started to croak loudly in a panicked state. The duo backed away, startled. They caught sight of some pretty herons standing on the side of the small hill but to their amazement and dismay, the birds suddenly grew second wings (kind of like the second wings of this cute little guy). Their eyes widened and they were just about to run away, screaming, when they noticed a beautiful lady dressed in white staring straight at them. Something about her seemed to say "Stop".
So that's what they did. They stopped. They stopped moving and instead, stood there, rooted to the spot, staring back at her in fear.
The lady did not do anything. The animals - the frogs and the herons - came to her, standing by her side. The frogs had returned to normal and the herons' second pairs of wings had disappeared.
"I understand that these frogs are cute," she gave a light chuckle, "but don't touch them. Otherwise, they will release a poisonous fluid that covers their backs, causing them to turn brown."
"And the herons. Constant outbursts of loud noises," she explained, referring to the frogs' earlier cacophony of croaks, "causes them to grow a second pair of wings on their backs."
"And they don't eat frogs," she added, smiling at the frogs. It was as if the driver and the Soldier had disappeared (which I'm pretty sure they did). The herons moved towards the frogs, which stood there, wary and afraid, ready to hop away the moment a heron showed any sign of intending to eat them. One of the herons lowered its beak and nuzzled the nearest frog's snout. Then it held out a wing as though to shake hands and the frog took it with its paw/claw/front leg (I don't know! What do frogs have for hands?) and shook it. As soon as the other frogs saw the friendly interaction between them, more frogs came out of nowhere, walking on two legs (?!), bringing gifts for the herons. The herons welcomed every single one of them.
Soon, they turned back to the lady. They were now standing on a cliff and, in gratitude for showing them that they could live in harmony with the herons, the frogs went towards her, each of them holding a balloon. The lady smiled but she shook her head no, she couldn't accept all of them. However, the frogs were insistent and went nearer. She backed away...and fell over the cliff. On reflex, she grabbed some of the balloons nearest to her. The balloons were filled with good, strong helium so instead of falling straight down, the wind blew her away to the left with her clinging on. She had a sad smile at the thought of leaving her beloved frogs and herons but she then realised that she had stopped moving. The herons were clutching her balloons, flapping their wings hard against the wind, preventing her from floating away to infinity into the rock walls which was where the wind was blowing her too.
She smiled gratefully at the herons and the screen faded to black...
I grinned. I had certainly enjoyed the show. I had been watching the whole thng on my iPad (INCEPTION). I flopped onto the bed as the next cartoon came up. My brother then came along and asked me what the heck I was watching. I shrugged and turned over so that he could see the screen.
"Ah, this video is the 'Now You Can Starve Yourself to Death!' video. It's like, 47 hours so you can starve yourself to death if you want to," I explained, scratching the back of my head. My brother nodded, understanding, and he pointed at the cartoon on the screen.
"Oh, I like this animation," he said.
"Yeah, it's like the Simpsons, kan?" I grinned, using the incorrect Malay term (it's just a short form ) for "right". My brother nodded again.
Then dream scene changed...
We were in the cartoon without knowing it.
"Our dog cannot come out," said my cartoon not-father (he's apparently my father in the dream, but he's not in real life, so he's my not-father). I shook my head and lifted up the top of a pile of hay. A dog's head poked out, tongue hanging out.
"See? Can lah!" I grinned, dropping the hay back. Somehow, I had created a hole in the side of the hay and a familiar hamster squeezed out. I happily skipped over to the hay and cupped my hands so that he would drop into my hands.
Then the dream scene changed again...but I remained in the same position with my hamster.
I held my hamster in the air with my parents sitting on either side of me. We were in my bedroom. Then Fluffy decided to pee on my lap.
"...You just had to do that, didn't you?" I said, putting him back into his cage.
Then the dreams cene changed again...
Rook was telling me about how important his thumb was and yet he couldn't use it.
"You see, there is no fur on this thumb so I cannot use it. Which is unfortunate since I need to use this thumb to climb walls," he explained. It made sense to me at that time...
Then the dream scene changed again...
I was lying down on the sofa at the living room while my father was switching discs in the disc player. I then realised what we were going to watch.
"Yes! We're gonna watch The Croods!" I exclaimed, punching the air.
~~~

Wow.

Wow indeed. O_o

Have an awesome day, everyone.

P.S. I know that Don't Starve is some kind of game but I don't know what it's about...
