Books And Games

Books And GamesFRIDAY
6th December 2013, 1.34 PM.

Well, surprise, surprise. How surprised am I that the library and salon outing was cancelled? Three guesses.

Nope.

My mom was sick (she's been coughing like crazy in these past few days) and so we didn't go. It was raining, anyway. This sucks. I was looking forward to borrowing some new books.

On the bright side, there are still some books that I haven't read in my Book Collection. :3 Then again, I'm nowhere near to reaching them. I'm going to read The Cheshire Cheese Cat after I complete my current book so at least that's something new. I read my books one-by-one and I'm currently at the part of my Collection where most of the books are for tweens and those who aren't tweens or teens, so don't go thinking that I lied when I read teenager books. Hmm. I better shut up before I start boasting.

Anyway, there's this game called Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed and it's free on Steam until 1.00 PM PST on Sunday, which is 5.00 AM on Monday here in Singapore so I downloaded it and now I can play it until then! The main reason I was hooked, though, was that there were Team Fortress 2 characters in it! Pyro (car), Heavy (boat), and Spy (PLANE OMIGODIT'STHEFREAKIN'SPY)! The controls are kind of crazy, though. You press "R-Shift" to go forward, "R-Ctrl" to go backwards, left and right arrows to go left and right (for Spy's plane, up arrow to go down and down arrow to go up...), and the "e" key for power-ups. Why'd they put the power-up key so freakin' far away?! I can't change the controls so... *Shrugs*

My brother came over while I was playing and decided to watch me for a while before asking if he could have a turn. As he was playing, I got THE MOST BRILLIANT BRAINWAVE EVER! Okay, I'm exaggerating but it's fun to exaggerate stuff sometimes. Anyway, I decided to press the power key while he did the controls and guess what happened? WE CAME 1ST!

We only came 1st place on the second try of my so-called 'brilliant brainwave', though...

After that, our mom called us to eat and as my brother got up from the chair, he raised his hand for a high-five and I awkwardly high-fived him, grabbing his hand before letting go as he walked off.

Is it just me...or is my brother finally maturing? He seems to be warming up to me a lot lately.

I look forward to more high-fives in the future. :3

Have an awesome day, everyone.
