so what's been going on? I feel like a bloop failure. I haven't updated in months. Is there a diary anywhere that has random daily topics? If not, I'll totally create one. I miss NoJoMo. It gave me a challenge and motivation. lol
So Christmas vacation, I got to go see my mom and Brad in GA!! yay! Then Christmas eve, we all went to Greer, SC where Brad grew up. EVERY year growing up, that would be my place to go on Christmas. I'd spend every Christmas with my step-family. It stopped after I moved back to FL when I was 23 in April of 2007. It was the first year I missed Christmas in Greer. I went back in 2007, the year I met Russ and took him with me. And that was the very last time I saw everyone. (except my grandparents who came to our wedding in 2013.). UNTIL this past Christmas! woo-hoo! I haven't seen my aunts, uncles, and cousins for 8 years. Some of them are now even married with kids. It's crazy. These kids held as babies are now adults in what felt like a heartbeat.
So that was fun! We were with my mom and Brad from the 23rd to the 28th. I've since realized that my mom is a bigger pothead than I am. We just recently admitted each other's habbits last summer when she came to visit in June. It was pretty hilarious, because we were both hiding it from each other for so long. So there were many nights this past visit, where my mom and I just chilled in the livingroom smoking together. AND when I was up in SC, I smoked with Brad's best friend who's like an uncle to me. It just makes me happy that no matter any other political differences we all might have, we all agree that marijuna is harmless and no big deal.
Anywho, what else is going on? Our cat is sick. A couple days before we went to GA, Kitty stopped eating, and got really lethargic. The cat's pretty lazy anyway, but this was different. She was throwing up a lot more. Russ and I took her to the vet. The blood work is normal, but there's something odd about the spleen in the Xray that requires an MRI for further examination. ugh. So that sucked. I contemplated going up to GA or not. We had planned the trip, and I was so looking forward to it (8 YEARS!). But after a couple days when the cat started walking around just a little more, I decided that she was okay for now.
She still doesn't eat. She may take a bite. She drinks a lot of water. She does move around a bit. She always wants to go outside. So we let her out for a few minutes before she gets scared and comes back. She's lost a lot of weight. We have to save up for the MRI. We're waiting for Russ to start his new job at Comcast, but the training session date hasn't been announced yet, but he's on the list. It's been a month. ugh. lol But yeh. Kitty's sick. I'm trying not to think about it. Every time I hear her throwing up, I start crying. I give her love all the time. Even when she doesn't want it. lol But she's a grumpy cat, anyway.
okay need a change of subject.
school.
school is good. I really love the school I'm at. I do. It's challenging. The kids are a handful, but I love the support from everyone. My director and assistant director are awesome. Legitamately nice, fun, caring people. I love it there. I hope it's a place I can finally be at for more than a year. But I'm always on edge. As much as I love this school, I'm used to something happening to change that. So I'm just going to go in each day and enjoy the day as much as I can. Learn from my experiences as a teacher, and help the kids grow the best I can. I'm trying to perfect my teaching strategies, and even my philosophies.
What else? OH! OH! OH! DRAGONCON!
So! Russ and Cameron conspired together to get Lindz and I Dragon Con tickets for our birthday. WOO-HOO! The four of us are all gonna go as Batman villains. Russ is Penguin, I'm Joker, Cameron is Riddler, and Lindsay is Poison Ivy. I'm SO excited! DragonCon is in Atlanta, and I went EVERY year I lived up there. From 18-23! It was my nerd haven, and I've been wanting to go back! I need more celebrity autographs and pictures. lol! I need more nerdy tshirts. I need to be surrounded by people in costumes again, and stumble upon a random celtic band playing in a random room somewhere. People just coming in and doing whatever. AND I've always wanted to go with Russ and Lindsay! because they would LOVE it. squee! So Labor Day weekend, we'll be in Atlanta! I've already told my mom that we'll be infilrating their house. It's about a 45 min drive every day, but cheaper than hotels. If you're lucky to find one not reserved already. Dragon Con weekend in Atlanta is crazy. lol!
So yay! I'm excited!

been hangin around with Cameron and Lindz a lot. They have decided to move in together some time this year, but Lindz pretty much lives over at his place anyway. lol. Lindz, Cam, and Russ are all at Ale House watching the Clemson game. GO CLEMSON! I felt like staying in and chillin. Just need to decompress. Hence the bloop entry.
OH! I've been writing a lot. My novel is actually almost done. Lindz is reading it for me. I trust her opinion on books, and she's going to be constructively criticizing everything.
