Today is Friday the 13th, are you superstitious about today's date? Explain why or why not.

I LOVE Friday the 13th! It's my favorite non-holiday holiday! I think it's a lucky day! 13 is a lucky number for me. I'm superstitious by nature any way. I throw salt over my shoulder when I spill it. little things like that. MOSTLY for fun. I don't like to take chances. My friend Christina from college (my old roommate) was superstitious about splitting the poles. If two or more people are walking together and come across a pole, everyone has to walk on the same side. I caught onto that. But I LOVE Friday the 13th. Good things happen on Friday the 13th.

Speaking of good things.. My interview today at the school went very well. Scary "what's the catch?" scary..
(haha Russ just interrupted my entry with some sexy time. Told you today is a lucky day! )

This was technically my second interview with them, and the first one went awesome, but whatever happened to need me to start immediately didn't happen for some reason, so I got the "I really want you to teach for us, and I'll call you when something comes up." So I waited a few weeks. And today I met with a head of the Elementary School. She was really nice. I think a few years younger than me in her 20s. And once again, the interview went really well. They do need someone for first grade. They have a couple VERY ADHD kids. I tried to be as honest as I could with them about my teaching style. I didn't put on an interview facade and say everything I was supposed to say. I'm not sure how I feel about handling first grade again. Part if it really terrifies me, because of everything that happened at the beginning of this school year. I'm looking at it as my second chance. Oh! I forgot to mention the e-mail I got from the head of the whole school a couple hours after the interview. The lady I originally interviewed with a month ago.. The whole e-mail verbatim: "We would love to have you come in and join the team. I will call you tomorrow afternoon and discuss details!" Sooo yay! I think I have a job! I guess I'll find out the details tomorrow during my lucky day! (tomorrow meaning after I wake up from the sleep that medians the two days)

So it looks like my unemployment non-vacation will be ending soon. I am so thankful. As much as it appeals to my lazy side, I just can't enjoy it because I feel like a non productive lump. If I was a millionaire and didn't have to worry about rent, well then I might enjoy not working. But only for a little bit. I HAVE to work. NaNoWriMo came at a could time. (not that it doesn't come the same time every year lol). I've been in super writing mode. I really want to finish this novel. I started with over 64,000 words already written, and I've added just under 20,000. I hope it actually becomes something. we'll see.
