Are you on the path you thought you would be on 10 years ago or are you on a completely different path? Explain

wow. Ten years ago I was 21 years old, my senior year in college still living in Atlanta. Crazy. I wanted at that time to become a director so badly. Because I was a theatre major,, my passion for the art swayed towards being a director. I LOVED directing plays. I really miss it.  I was working for Six Flags Over Georgia as a front gate photographer. Y'know those people who stop you when you first walk in and go "Smile for the camera!" That was me. I didn't work there for very long until I started working for QuikTrip. It paid a LOT more. I just started dating my ex, Trey, and I'm so glad I never continued on that path.
Now my path has changed greatly. Yes, if the opportunity ever arises to direct a play again, I will take it in a heartbeat. I went back to school to teach drama, but haven't gotten that far yet. I've just been teaching various subjects and various grades for a couple years. lol Who knows where I'll be in ten years. Still teaching? Maybe. I hope so.
So today was my second day at my new job, and so far I'm loving it. I don't know my exact title yet. Teaching assistant? I assist the elementary class. There are three boys. In the morning, I'm there from 9 to 10:30, then it's my job to leave school to pick up the lunches for the kids at Greenwise. Then I come back, distribute the lunches to the middle and high school kids, then return to my elementary kids until 1:30. There are two teachers. One in the morning, and one in the afternoon, and both are awesome. The kids have behavioral issues. Today two of them had complete meltdowns. The teachers were looking at me like I'm going to run away screaming. lol I think they were surprised at how calm I was. Kid meltdowns were a day in my life not just at the school I taught at at the beginning of this year, but the school I taught at two years ago. It really felt good to know that I'm not the only one who experienced meltdowns. And that it isn't something I'm doing. The kids are pretty much exactly like my previous students. Like I just returned to my old school. lol But at my new school, I love the administration and the other teachers. They are so kind and patient with the kids, and it makes me feel good that there are other teachers like me. I really hope this works out. Because I've seen this behavior before, I'm not going to stress like I did the beginning of the school year. And I truly think I like this school and it's approach towards kids with special needs. I'm hoping this is a school I can actually stay at for a few years. I'm tired of school hopping. I want a home.
peace!

I really like today's prompt, it really makes you think.

I'm glad you're liking the job so far and that things are going well!! I guess the school doesn't have a cafeteria?
