世界上的人都喜欢酒
A goodly day today - I have my train ticket to Qingdao on the first ^^ In a double whammy of good-ness I also got the joining ticket from here to Beijing, totally thought I was going to have to get to the station 5 hours before the first train arrived and beat the locals to get through *chortle*
Turns out you can only book train tickets in China 10 days before you want to travel. With this many people it means there's a desperate scramble during those 10 days for the tickets. I dread to think what Spring Festival is going to be like when EVERYONE's trying to get home

The wise Burea of Transport also designate a certain number of ticekts that can be sold in each city, depending on demand, which I find really odd, cos in Britain everyone books online and prints off their ticket wherever the hell they are - so much less hassle~
The weekend was a total doss, I did nothing bar sit in my room. Did have a chat with the cleaner in Chinese, that made me feel as though I was working

I've also started frequenting the next door Starbucks as a treat for being a good Westerner and eating mainly Chinese food up until now ^^ You know you're adjusting well when £3 for a large Frappucino is starting to seem like a rip-off ^^
As a method to alleviate the current lack of authentic western culture, I have downloaded the Princess Bride on Youku (actually works out here :o) and intend to sit there all evening watching it whilst nomming on Netherlandisch Droste chocolate I have purchased from the Spanish import shop next door ^_^ A goodly day~
Ah yes, the photo below is of a sign along the road I walk to work every day - It's hammering home the bad-ness of drink driving, the amusing thing being that the car picture looks like the character for alcohol 酒 and it's in a breaking wine glass XD
