Nothing like a crazy heated lesbian make-out session to kick-off the much anticipated weekend.

I am still in shock…visual shock.

The image of Mandella and her butch girlfriend slobbering over each other’s faces will forever be burned in my brain—and in as much as I want to include it in my pocket of pretty memories, it worked in reverse—wherein I wished I hadn’t climbed off the MRT train at Araneta station and met her for coffee when she implored me to.

It was SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE...trying to be polite and tolerant of the massive chest-grabbing, super-suction PDA—I was honestly quietly squirming in my seat, looking for something to look at other than the image of them making out, 2 feet away from me.

My evening started off fairly well. It wasn’t until I reached the train station that I received a text message from Mandella.

Mandella: What are you doing?

Me: Am headed home from the office.

(I didn’t bother asking why she asked. I think I knew what was coming. )

Mandella: Wanna meet up for coffee?

Me: I would love to but I’m bit on the short side today. Maybe next time.

Mandella: Ok.

(I felt bad for turning her down. She must really need help or someone to confide in, so I decided to check.)

Me: Thanks. How are you?

Mandella: I’d buy coffee. I just need to talk. Pweeeeease?

So I finally agreed and met up with her. She brought along another friend of hers named Lana. They’ve only known each other for a while, and little to my knowledge at that time, both have butch girlfriends that as best friends.

So the night went on, Mandella was pissed off because her girlfriend is very very protective of her. Every little thing she does is constantly being monitored and scrutinized. Everywhere she goes, her girlfriend sends someone over to follow her.

So tonight, while the mood was still low because of Mandella’s annoyance of her girlfriend’s overprotectiveness, HER girlfriend and Lana’s girlfriend decided to show up.

SURPRISE!!!!

So they both paired up, two lesbian couples sitting around me, and I’m totally singled out—looking like a fool—trying to play it cool while they fondled each other in front of me, I seriously wanted run…being the only straight girl in the group.

I called up my friend, Yoda (whom I’ve been texting through the whole ordeal. She seemed pretty amused) and told her to try to bail me out.

“Come up with an excuse! Whatever! Say you have to go to the hospital!—and that I need to go because you’re not feeling well.” I whined.

Yoda was laughing.

I ended up laughing too—uncomfortably and awkwardly—still looking away from the lusting couples—hearing slobbering noises and heavy breathing in the background.

Argh! Gotta run. Screw the excuse! I couldn’t stand it anymore.

I am no homophobe. I’m happy that Mandella actually came out and is presently happy with her love life…

But the whole girl-on-girl PDA thing is tooootally foreign to me. It’s something I think I gotta get used to seeing…but at the same time, it’s not something I look forward to.
