Henry is doing well

Henry is doing really well. He came out of anesthesia just fine (which means he's not like me, thankfully) and was happily drinking the apple juice they gave him. He at his breakfast well and played with his toys for a little while before going down for a nap. So, now we'll have to see if his equilibrium evens out and he starts walking.

Thank you to everyone for your prayers and well wishes! It means a lot to me and my family!

im glad he is doing well. go henry!

the way we give anaesthetic has changed so much, since i started nursing, you might find you are better than you were, if it was a long time ago. at least, here in aus it has, so i would think there it has.
people dont wake up puking like they used to. we use more fluids intropeatively and more anti spew meds

im glad his surgery went well. lillian had ear tubes at 13 months, and it broke my heart to see her out of it like thta. BUT it helpped almost instantly....i think she was stunned by all she could hear! within 2 weeks of surgery, she was walking, talking...just caught right up!

ryc: well, the difference is...I had 3, (and 2 of them were toddlers/pre-school) and even tho I missed them, it was nice and quiet. AND...I learned to either stay busy, or rent a bunch of movies and just hide under the covers all weekend.
It does take getting use to, but a friend told me to make that time ME time...and that is some of the best advice I've ever gotten!
