Well. I have decided that Tricare can be cheap bastards and they may end up being more trouble then is ultimately worth my stress. But since it is almost completely free insurance whatever I guess I don't have a choice.

So anyways. I make my lady appointment for my Pap and while I am there I ask them to send me for a pregnancy test and tell them why I have a hunch etc. Well they inform me that they do not test anyone until they are at least a month late or have missed their second cycle. Cheap Bastards! We go into town after my appointment and stop at Target on the way home and I pick up a home test. Come home and take it - Pregnant!

So basically they have to test me now. I walk in today and they gave me a urine test, the nurse calls me in and basically says " I am sure you already know that its positive since you are here." Yup I did. I had the home test hiding in my purse in case they tried to be cheapskates again and tell me no I was going to throw my pee stick in their face. But they didn't so I was happy. But I had to fill out a NOVEL size amount of paperwork and when I was done with that send me down to the lab for blood work. I could have swore I was going to die from blood loss they took like somewhere between 8 and 10 vials. Crazy. Then they tell me they need me to pee in a cup again. What!? I just gave them all my pee upstairs less then half an hour ago are you stupid? They told me I could come back later and pee so that is what I did.

I guess in the military though you have all kinds of mandatory stuff like a pregnancy orientation . . . how funny does that sound! lol But you get lots of free stuff and they tell you about nutrition counseling and breastfeeding or something. That is also when I get my first doctor's appointment. I have a huge feeling that somewhere along the lines this is not going to go well for work .

I call my boss and she already knows I am preggo so I tell her about my mandatory orientation next Thursday so she can cover it. She starts drilling me about do I really think its a good time for me to be pregnant since we had a argument last week and blah blah blah .... what happened to what she said about all this being apart of marriage. Then she starts drilling me about my plans , how long I intend on staying out of work , and if I am coming back to work after having the baby etc etc etc......... So I can potentially see this getting really old because she pissed me off on the phone. I should have recorded the conversation so I could post it. But with all the stuff I am required to attend and appointments I can see there being some issues.

On top of that I told her we have Josh's tentative leave date but that he would not have the single exact date til the week before or so . Well when I got hired on she said she would give me several days off to spend with him before leaving and have a day to myself when he goes. Well today I told her the day and she is like " O yeah. We can take care of that and talk about it on monday, I will make sure you have that day off, its only fair" ?!?!?!?!?!!?!?! that day? What happened to the three to four you promised me in order to hire me on knowing he was leaving? I am really pissed about that. Josh wants me to go on Tuesday here on base to Family readiness and find a job on base. They are going to be more considerate with the pregnancy appointments and they won't give me the crap about moving in March ( which I haven't told them yet because of the problems it will cause) and the rest of it. I dunno , that makes me feel like a bitch but they aren't being fair either.

Oh good old Tricare. All the hurdles you have to jump are ridiculous! When I was pregnant with my son I was actually living in my hometown (my hubby was deployed) and I got to use civilian docs because the nearest MTF was 60 miles away, which was so nice.

Good luck with the pregnancy!
