Yule

Sora and Rebekah look most lovely in their dresses and Marius looks damn hot. Rebekah and Marius made my voice lost somewhere in the winter wind. I suddently felt shy and Revekah had to take my arm as we headed in. Sora was in awe of the decore.

“It is Amazing.” She breathed .

“Quite” I added .

We headed towards the refreshments Rebekah gasps” it’s him! It’s the reporter!” She let go of my arm and rushed to her crush favorite reporter from the Daily Prophet. I shook my head as she I watch her being … cute talking to him and probably being a total dork. The reporter didn’t seem to mind as he answered her.

“No one is dancing” Sora noted and the music was a good pace to dance.

“Well no one wants to be the first.” Marius said. “Plus my first dance was promised to Rebekah”

“Yes we know.” Sora and I said at the same time. Then smiled “Lest get this dance going. What do you say Fred.”

“Lest show these them how to dance Ginger.”

Sora and I went into the dance floor and danced. We started out like the old Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers but we turned it into more like acrobat and different types of daces which got a lot of people hooting and when we were done a loud clapping and fellow students and teachers alike started dancing. When we went back to our dates.

“When did you guys learn to dance like that?” Rebekah and Marius asked at the same time and very much awed.

“To be a good at martial arts you need to know the art of dancing.” I answered them.

“Ren and I are a team.”

“I see.” Marius said looking at me making me feel little bit uncompertable.

“Ren and I will get something to drink while you two have your first dance.” Sora said as she pulled me alone. She muttered under hear breath defiantly a love triangle.

Later that evening dancing with Rebekah to a slow dace she smiled softly at me. Even though the fabric of her dress I could feel the softness of her skin and the soft glow in her eyes like gems. I wasn’t sure where we were going but we danced along and before we knew it we were outside in the gardens.

“Do you know the legend of mistletoe?”

“You’re going to tell me anyway.” I smiled knowing this fact.
Rebekah took a breath and smiled at me, “The story goes that Mistletoe was the sacred plant of Frigga, goddess of love and the mother of Balder, the god of the summer sun. Balder had a dream of death which greatly alarmed his mother, for should he die, all life on earth would end. In an attempt to keep this from happening, Frigga went at once to air, fire, water, earth, and every animal and plant seeking a promise that no harm would come to her son. Balder now could not be hurt by anything on earth or under the earth. But Balder had one enemy, Loki, god of evil and he knew of one plant that Frigga had overlooked in her quest to keep her son safe. It grew neither on the earth nor under the earth, but on apple and oak trees. It was lowly mistletoe. So Loki made an arrow tip of the mistletoe, gave to the blind god of winter, Hoder, who shot it , striking Balder dead. The sky paled and all things in earth and heaven wept for the sun god. For three days each element tried to bring Balder back to life. He was finally restored by Frigga, the goddess and his mother. It is said the tears she shed for her son turned into the pearly white berries on the mistletoe plant and in her joy Frigga kissed everyone who passed beneath the tree on which it grew. The story ends with a decree that who should ever stand under the humble mistletoe, no harm should befall them, only a kiss, a token of love.” She finished we were walking back inside the castle.

Once we stopped I added, “Mistletoe has magical properties as well. Bestow life, fertility, a protection against poison, and a aphrodisiac. It is also sacred to ancient Celtic druids. In the middle ages mistletoe ward off evil spirits.” I smiled “I’m sure I’m missing a few details. I like the legend though.” Then I noticed we had stopped under mistletoe.

Rebekah laughed “ I think there are mystious forces at work don’t ya think?”

I grinned “mysterious forces indeed.” And I kissed her.

Once we pulled apart I felt the cold stare putting wholes though me. Rebekah must have felt them too. But she smiled. We promised to see each other after the Holidays. With that we parted ways as Sora was waiting for me as we raced back to our common room.

The Gray House

Somewhere off in Ireland and for some odd reason we couldn’t use magic. We had to use a muggle vehicle. A man not our parents that came and got us it was Winston a bawled haired man thin and a bit old and yet bit younger it was the bawled hair that threw you. He addressed us as Young Lady Sora and Young Master Ren. It felt od and gods knows how much each side of our family is worth. It was about two hours when we rolled up to a iron gate that magically opened and we rolled in just as the car was in the iron gates slammed making Sora jump.

“Sorry missus the gate has a temper.”

We rolled up to a mazing massive … plantation, mansion whatever to describe it. It was something out of a Royal fairy tale. As we pulled up a crowed of … servants yes servants and what stood on the right of them was an elegan couple. The man stood with poise and pride the women with grace and beauity she looked sorta like mum. Then stood dad and mom and then there were a few others I didn’t know but they all..

“Look like mom was holding out on us.” Sora said.

“It’s no bigger than home but little different.”

Sora narrowed her eyes at me. “Dose that look a little different to you?”

“No.. I guess not.”

Finally out of the cramped car the older man came up to us. “It’s finally good to see my little Zeus and Zephyra.” Referring to our element powers “it’s been ages.” He smiled happy to see us. “Welcome to The Gray House and I hope you feel at home where.”

“Yes my dears.” Came a voice mature and wise and it must have been grandma cause it sounded like a mature mom.

“As you know your parents” she started sis and I nodded This is your uncle Thomas and his wife Liv, your Aunt Neferet and her partner Gail, lastly is our youngest your Uncle Colton.” Sora and I just nodded.
Then to our left “ These are our help but they are also like family” Grandfather said smiling. You’ve already met “Winston, our butler” We smiled at him and then they want on with the introductions. A lot to take in and a lot to remember, it was the cook, housekeeper, few ladys maids, footmen, chambermaid, grounds keeper … it when on a list of others before we were finally in from the cold as it started to snow again.

We were shown to our rooms which was bigger than my room at home. Everything was in masculine colors dark browns for the furniture the fabrics were bit of bronze, silver and black. Oddly everything went together accept for those things that I packed from home.

“I do hope you come to love it here perhaps another home. You’ll be here for awhile. I’ll let you rest dinner is at seven sharp.” Grandma smiled at me as she left to go show Sora her room.

To Be Contuned

[Source:http://www.theholidayspot.com/christmas/history/mistletoe.htm#bIpwcbI0cX4iIfRo.99 I took the actual words sorry of the legend. Didn’t feel like paraphrasing but I put into my own words some of the ‘magical’ properties.]
