Have you ever loved someone so much that you showed them you’d stay through ANYTHING… so they started putting you through EVERYTHING?
You stayed after the lies.
You stayed after the disrespect.
You stayed after the betrayal.
You stayed through the tears, the apologies, and the promises they kept breaking.
And somehow, your loyalty became their permission to hurt you again.
Let’s be VERY clear: that’s not love. That’s abuse.
Just because you stayed doesn’t mean they were allowed to keep destroying you. And loving someone deeply does NOT mean you have to keep sacrificing yourself to prove it.
Sometimes the strongest thing you can say is:
“I loved you enough to stay. Now I love myself enough to leave.”
