I need guidance... and Advice

09/18/2010

Melissa and I have been TTC for 9 months now. And I'm about ready to give up.
We just did an insemination earlier tonight. One of the problems I have is I lay there for 30 minutes with my legs in the air and then when I stand up it feels as though everything just falls out. Does anyone understand? That can't be normal, right?

I don't know what's going on with my body. The last insemination we did [before tonight] was about 4 weeks ago. I've had so much going on that I never even thought to take a pg test. But I started my period and just assumed it didn't take [just like the rest.] my period just ended the middle of this week. the next day I was throwing up. was sick for 1 1/2 days. now everytime I eat something I start feeling sick again. and I've started having menstral cramps again. Which is sooo weird. Has anyone ever had cramps 2 days after your period ends?

I don't know. I'm just freaking exhausted. I'm going to bed. Too sad and tired.

How exactly are you doing inseminations?! If the sperm isn't properly stored, insterted, etc. it won't work. Sperm dies after being exposed to air after about an hour... so if it's not stored correctly and used quickly it won't be vital. Have you tried talking to a fertility doctor?

i get that feeling sometimes too...that everything will fall out. i thought that was just me! TMI but sometimes i can feel some dribbling out and other times nothing comes out it just "feels" like it will. after doing the deed i try and fall asleep as long as possible so i wont move and it has the best chance of getting to destination babiesville

ive read that instead cups can help keep everything close to the cervix.
have you tried that?
or maybe even see what you options are for IUI in your area are. I know its not at all like home insem, but the success rate is a lot higher and its one of the lower cost & less invasive procedures that i've personally researched.
good luck darlin'
