The rock throwing neighbor kids

09/19/2012

I am sick of these neighborhood kids. SICK of them.

First off, I don't know if I touched on this but David was accused by Christian (Natasha's oldest son) of stealing his parade candy (a month ago?) No one told me about it until recently. I had to ask why Christian is alienating David. It broke my heart!

I talked to David about it, and you know what he said? "Mom, if I stole Christians candy, then Christian wouldn't have any. That wouldn't be fair!" Does that sound like a theif? Not only that, but at Davids party when we broke open the pinata, David sat on the side lines instead of dive in with the other kids. The only candy he got was what Daniel grabbed for him. Does that sound like a greedy child to you? I know my son, and he doesn't steal.

That's not even what I am really writing about here.

Yesterday I walked outside to go to the store. I saw two middle schoolers say, "What an asshole!" and pick up a rock. I get in my car and I hear "Throw another one guys!" I get out of my car and yell, "THROW ONE MORE ROCK!" And then Natasha calls them back in the yard.

That's what I saw. Here is what happened.

Aerian, Christian, Gage, Bryce, and Ryan were standing in a line across the street like a little kids chump ass army. Bryce told all the kids to throw the rocks. He is the ring leader. That dumb cunt Natasha is in her YARD (behind her shrubbery where I can't see) listening! She hears me yell at these kids, and did nothing! Aerian, Christian, Bryce, and Ryan are all influencing four year old Gage to act like a hoodlum.

This kept me up all night. I fought with myself on what to do. I finally came up with a solution at about 1 AM and was finally able to get some shut eye.

I struggled with talking to the parents. If Natasha knew what was going on, and didn't say anything, is there a point in talking to her? Karen (Bryce and Ryan's mom) is a nice lady, but she is a coddler. Ryan who is seven, threw a fit at my son's birthday party because he didn't get the pinata's arm. Karen went and held him, coddled him, and told him his behavior was okay. I don't think she's negligent, but she can't discipline. If I come to her, she will talk to them, but they will not listen.

So this morning I walked to the bus stop with David. I pulled Aerian, Christian, Bryce and Ryan aside. I made sure that I was not yelling, but I also made it known that I was pissed with my stern tone. I asked the kids, "Did you know those rocks are weapons?" They said no. Bryce was pretty much ignoring me. I got nose to nose with that child, and I said, "Bryce, I am an adult. When I am speaking, you listen. When I ask a question, you answer. Show me some respect." I made sure to keep eye contact at all times, because I know he is the ring leader, and he has probably never had anyone speak to him like that.

I went on with my speech. "You know those rocks are considered weapons? I caught ALL of you throwing them at other PEOPLE. I am NOT happy. Bryce, if I see you pick up one more rock to throw, I am calling the police on you. This goes for all of you. And Christian, I am dissapointed in you. You are a role model for your four year old brother. Look at what you are teaching him! If ANY of you throw rocks, I am calling the cops, and then you all will be meeting me on Saturday morning to clean up my yard and pull weeds." I got a bunch of yes ma'am's and was on my way.

When I was talking to Christian, I noticed a few things. That child was wearing filthy ass clothes, and had a dirty face. In the corner of my eye I could see one of the parents in the driveway doing something. Okay, I am lecturing your son, and you don't see what is going on? I am sure it was R.W. And how can you send your kids to school filthy!? David gets a bath every single day. He never wears dirty clothes, socks, or underwear. He brushes and mouthwashes his teeth every morning after breakfast, and every night after dinner. How could you let your kids run around like that? I feel so sad for them, because in a few years, kids will care what they look like. They will get teased. I have never seen those kids with clean hair and clothes.

Anyways, I know you guys will think the cops won't do shit. Google it. Rocks are weapons, throwing them and breaking something is a crime, and a 6, 10, and 11 year old were taken to jail and charged in Illinois. I live in a community where the cops give a shit. They will scare the kids, and the parents. Something will be done. As far as them cleaning up my yard, think about. Karen will be down with the punishment. Natasha ill just want to pawn her kids off. Hopefully they don't throw any more rocks.

How would you have handled it?
