Alo!
I am sitting at Le Plaza hotel in Port au Prince. There is music so loud that it hurts my ears... or maybe just my eardrums. Nelson Roes is in the hospital here (hopefully getting released in the morning) and it just took us about 2 hours to get to the hotel because the streets are literally FULL of people. I guess it's their "Marti Gras" (sp). It's awful. I feel so bad for the people... they all seem so lost.
You can pray for us. Amos has to drive and it's been terrible... pray especially for him as we drive home tomorrow.
We actually had pizza today! The hospitals here do not provide food so we went in hunt of something for lunch and happened upon a pizza place. Other than being slightly dark, it was good. On the way in to Port we stopped at a resturant and I ordered a chicken sandwich- when our food arrived they served me a chicken kabob. So, it was nice to order pizza and receive pizza. And, my very spoiled husband even got icecream and a mountain dew! All in one day.
Well, I won't drag this out- just wanted to update everyone...
