Some mornings in the barn are swift and enjoyable. I milk the cows, my husband feeds the cows, we all live happily ever after.
Other mornings. Not so much.
This morning was, well, shall we say "slow". I was tired. The coffee was too weak so I didn't drink any. (I think I'm turning into a coffee snob. I didn't mean to. It just happens...) My feet were dragging. The cows kept pushing me. (I think they can sense when I'm having an off day.)
So, I did what any normal human being would do:
I got out my phone and started reading blog posts. Obvious solution.
My donkey, however, (yes, my husband got me donkey. He's my pet, so don't even think about making that face and saying, "a donkey?????!!!!!" He's adorable. Thank you.) thought that the phone looked good to eat. So he bit it.
Yes. My phone.
Thankfully, nothing too horrible happened to it. It did disconnect from the internet though and I lost where I was reading about "six people who died making (ridiculous) points..." (I'm sure i can google it and find out what happened to the guy who tried to prove that the glass in his window was unbreakable. Well, I know he died, obviously, but I kind of wonder what all transpired...)
And you know the funny thing? It kind of made my morning.
Got me laughing.
And the next cow that pushed? I pushed back. Hard. Well, more of a body slam than a push. I'm quite good at them, really. |
