10.30PM

Well i'm slightly tipsy, haha. I've only finished the remainder of my wine from last night, and i've started on one of Shane's Peroni bottles.. but he doesn't know, so ssh ssh. Haha. It's been quite a mad week actually.

- At work everyone has been taking the piss out of me.
Today!, i had 3 breaks from a 12 hour shift, yet the other 3 girls i was on with had about 7/8 breaks. I've been getting funny looks off all the staff ever since i started working there. I don't know whether it's 'cos i'm new, whether it's 'cos i've a baby face & voice or whether it's 'cos i actually play with the residents ( i think this one ) - because i do actually communicate with the residents, whereas all the other staff jus deliver their personal care & run as far away as possible. I try to entertain the residents - i don't jus leave them to sit in their chairs to watch their 'clock' tick away.
Sharron gave me a letter on TUESDAY when i was working for a First Aid course (which i have already done, and i've the certificate & badge which runs out late 2011 anyway) so i opened it when i got home to see i was supposed to be on it that day. I jus thought she'd made a mistake 'til she spoke to me on Thursday asking me why i'd missed the course - "it doesn't look good 'cos you're on 3 month probation", "why didn't you go?" - i was at work Sharron, i can't be in 2 places at once, "you'll have to pay £50 for it now."... £50!!!!!, for missing a course i was told about the same day it took place. It's disgusting! I've had to sign a form to say i'll pay it which i thought i'd sign jus so i don't lose my job, like, this time i'll let it go.. but then today she said "Emma, you'll have to sign that form for the £50 again because i can't remember where i've put it." So now i'm thinking is she doing me out of £100? I'm going to tell her i aint signing it again anyway.
I've had Jenny telling me off 'cos i don't get to work at 7.50 to hear the hand over. Now when i had my interview i was told to be there for 8AM so i have been. I aint going to work 10 minutes earlier everyday when i aint getting paid for it. That's another £6 a week in my pocket if it was.
I've told Shane everything what's gone on and he thinks they're taking the piss out of me. He aint happy. He's told me to go to work tomor, then we're having a talk when he picks me up to decide whether i should stick at this job or jus look for another one.
It's ashame 'cos the residents are lovely. They are no way as hard to cope with as those at The Library. And i've my favourite girl, Cynthia, who moved in to Meadows about a week before i started working there. I feel like i'm the only person who gives her the proper care she needs!

Enough of that anyway..
I took 2 hours off work on Thursday to go for my 'final' scan at the hospital so the doctor can book me in to get the 'remains' out. My appointment was for 8.55 - i had my scan at 9.10, and the fella told me it looked the same as 2 weeks ago which i was gutted about. It's definately an incomplete miscarriage ): So i was told to wait to see the doctor to see what happens next. I was waiting 2 hours!, before i saw the doctor & she explained that she'd never seen a preganancy like this before as my sac is so big, so she had to talk to another doctor.. back to the waiting room i went, i waited 15 minutes then i told the receptionist i had to get back to work so i've ANOTHER appointment next Thursday to sort it out. I had terrible stomach cramps last night - i was up with it all night. I don't want to get infection. Poor Shane was worried, bless. I had that funny turn at work the other day and i don't want that to happen again. We'll see!

Anyway. Shane is out with the lads tonight so i'm stuck in on my own waiting for a cuddle ): Jus drinking 'til he gets back which'll be about 3ish. Ha. Chubba has set up my surround sound thing so that's on full blast - thank fuck no one has knocked on the door. Hehe, jus popping in the bath. Night. x

I've never had an abortion but I would have thought they would have got rid of the "remains" sooner rather than later due to risk of infection. I don't know. As long as you don't have to wait too long for your appointment.

As for the course you were meant to go on, I would argue rather than pay the £50. If they don't tell you, how are you supposed to go on it? Also they should have questioned why you were in if they knew you were on a course rather than give you a letter a bit too late and say you have got to pay for it. Argue it. I would.

xx
