Hey everybody, hope you all are having/have had a good yuletide season. I've been playing Locoroco 2 and Mario Galaxy on the Wii. (Yes I know I just haven't bothered to pick it up since I was so disappointed with Mario Sunshine on the Gamecube). Thankfully I'm enjoying them both.
Subscribed to my Nintendo mag. They sent me a little collectible model of the Shieldon pokemon with my first magazine. Plus I got a free copy of Zubo on the Ds. There's not much to it but it is fun, while it lasts.
My black Christmas tree is once again towering over the living room, complete with it's various halloween tinsels and Nightmare before Christmas ornaments.
Had a quiet Christmas really. I think the magic somewhat goes from it when you realise you're not a kid anymore. Although that said I worked out today that I've been playing computer games since I was 6. A mere 23 years! Speaking of which the mrs and the mother in law both now have ds lite's! June (mother in law) was sold by the fact there was a CSI game on the DS. I think she has a thing for Grissom.
I've just finished reading: In the Palace of the Plague Lord by C.L Werner (it's a Warhammer novel. Yes I know but they are surprisingly good.). I have also just finished Conjugal Rites by Paul Magrs. I enjoyed that book as it's set in Yorkshire and I know how weird some things/people are from there. I'm still plowing through as many Terry Pratchetts as I can find. I've just started The Amazing Maurice And His Educated Rodents.
I wonder if the bookies are taking bets on which company is going to the wall next. I had to laugh when I saw one of those park hamper advert things. They still have Zavvi and Woolworths on the computer screen in the adverts. I like Zavvi, I've got a few bargains from there. In fact I even got my Wii there so I hope somebody does buy them out.
Random question for your comments: What sits on top of your Christmas tree?
(Mine is a woolen Jack Skellington in a Santa outfit!)
