Monday: Did a 2 til midnight shift. I was on a till for about 20 minutes before they chucked me in the car park to do the trolleys. Only earnt a measly £2 that day still better than nothing and tax free lol. Had a lot of variety today trolleys, stock counting, tea breaks and yuck emptying recycling bins. They're for carrier bags but lazy chavs chuck stuff in them all the time. I found Dairylea Dunkers, a full new HP ink cartridge (about £18 retail I think). Got absolutely soaked pushing trolleys around the car park. Came in when it got really bad. Had my last break at 9.45 pm and watched as the other trolley guys did f all. made a complaint, I don't usually complain but everybody knows that one of these guys does absolutely nothing. Why should he get paid? I had to go out in the car park and sort it after they left.
Tuesday: Start the day reading and playing my Wii like usual. Went to work and was actually on a till for the whole of my shift! I'm in shock. I had a reduced cream cake that scanned at £600, a couple of asian people who paid entirely for their shopping with luncheon vouchers and who couldn't see that £53-£50 = £3. They then tried to exit the shop via the fire doors. I had to shut my till after them and clean it as they decided to open a hot chicken on the belt. Which meant oil was all over it plus flour from their 30 odd bags of it. I was really glad to see the back of them! Got quite peeved at a girl asking me whats wrong with me and my wife because we don't want kids. Felt like saying "It's a choice and that's our decision." I bit my tongue and just said "I'm saving the planets resources by not having kids." I have no problem with people who want kids fair enough. However people trying to impose their views on me can quite frankly fuck off . She started going on how she can't have kids. Is that my fault? Nope. My bro died of cancer, is that anyones fault? Nope. It's a sad fact. Still this girl is only 19 maybe she'll grow the hell up shortly. Sorry ranting finished!
Wednesday: Finished reading my book Rumble in the Jungle by Matt Forebeck. Now on to my first werewolf fiction book. I'm doing a vampire fiction amnesty so I'm going to read as many werewolf books as I can. Put the washing on and hoovered. Picked the Mrs up from work as she wanted a lift due to the fact she was taking Proofs home from work. (I also filled the car up on the way. Our penny pinching government has stuck another 2p a litre on fuel. Although I did win 25 nectar points at the garage!) Think she has about 12 to read. There's a proof of the new Robert Rankin coming out in there which I'm very glad about! Went to M&S to check the reductions and got a £2 Key Lime Pie. It's fantastic but so is the price when it's not reduced! Actually managed to get the mrs to go to bed before midnight! She's usuaully up at 6am and never seems to manage to get to bed before it.
Thursday: The Wife orders me to keep battering the snooze button on my alram clock. She eventually gets up at quarter to eight. Knowing that the bus she normally gets is half past seven I pretty much know I'm driving her to work. It's been raining for the whole week here so far. Just as well I cut the grass last week! Went into Asda to pick up some snacks and bits and bobs. I'll do my proper shop tomorrow, I haven't decided what I am cooking yet.
Friday: Did a 9 til 2 shift and ran out of change within the first 2 hours. Then scared them by saying I'm closing the till. I was on till 7 which is right near the doors. They like all those tills open all day. As I pointed out if I can't serve customers there's no point in having the till open! However the change arrived just after I had put my closed sign up. Damn them! After I finished I went and got some jeans that had been reduced by 1/2. This meant I got two pairs of jeans for £3! I also got Elite Beat Agents for my DS for the princely sum of £2.78! It's quite hard on my DS as I have the original model and the touch screen is a bit tempremental. It sometimes doesn't register and sometimes thinks I'm pressing when I'm not. Oh well it will add to the longevity! I also read about 70 pages of The Werewolf. Then went to the cadburys factory shop in search of Wispa Golds. None sighted anywhere so far! Apparently they're limited edition for September. Did main food shop at Asda and was not impressed! Nowhere near the standard of satisfaction I give to my customers. If I have a queue I serve them I don't tidy up the till when someone has been waiting over five minutes!
Saturday: Normal day at work, got chucked on the trolleys at the end by special request earnt £2.05 and a trolley token. Came home and cooked my vegetable and herb gratin. (Not as difficult or as posh as it sounds!). That's about as exciting as Saturday got!). Oh yeah checked my emails and found out Nintendo had made the internet channel free to download. So now I can check my emails on a massive television screen if I want!
Sunday: A whole day on an Asda basket till. After last weeks running out of change debacle I ordered stackloads. I did get low on pound coins near the end though! Loads of people came in with their gift cards seeing if they had won any money. One woman had three. There wasn't any money on any of them!
That's the excitement of a 44 hour work week over with!
