Friday: I did an 8-12 shift and treated the mrs to her usual Friday M+S lunch. We decided to try their mango and pineapple crush. I really enjoyed it, bearing in mind I can't stand fruit (if it's on it's own usually). It gave her a brain freeze which was funny. Nothing remarkable happened today
Saturday: Took June to the airport so she could embark on her first flight for forty odd years! She really needed a break as she cares for her mum and seems to be the only one in the family that does anything. We showed her around the airport where the gates and check-in were. Soon it was time for her departure. I waved and then told the mrs "errrr.....turn around your mum is waving at you!" Then I had to drop off her at home and I had to go to work. We were a bit worried about her having to change at Birmingham but as I said you won't be the only one flying to Jersey!
The wife texted her later on and asked were the flights alright? To which she replied big bed.
Sunday: More work for me.
Monday: I had decided to not do any overtime this week as she had booked the week off. Plus there is the usual house inspection looming in the distance.
Tuesday: Get awoken at 8.30 by a manager asking me if I was working that morning. I say "No, I was asleep." I knew I hadn't signed up for any overtime. But needless to say I was not best pleased with that one.
Wednesday to Friday: Basic domestic chores and washing clothes and putting things in the attic.
Saturday: Work again. I had been having coughing fits all week and I lost my voice by the end of this shift. I asked for some water and I got a cup of water with an unpleasant fizziness and bitter after taste to it. It's like they ran out of water and topped it up with soda water.
Sunday: Had to phone in sick. I literally could only squeak down the phone and was stuffed with the cold. Plus having a snot trail longer than your body isn't nice! Gross huh? Now I know how a slug feels. June arrived back from her holiday about 4pm, she told us all about it and she had a good time. The mrs asked how the weather was. June said it was ok 22 degrees, 20 and 17! Then we saw the photos of a practically azure blue sky, takes the mickey when it had rained here all week!
Random Question: If there was thing you could bring back from your childhood what would it be?
