So it turns out people so

05/10/2008

So i went gaming today as i often do there were 3 of us, Tony Rick and myself

after all was done we had packed up and were about to leave our LGS Fandom, Rick had gone on ahead, and Tony and i were hanging back for a bit to chat with the store owner.

on our way out, we noticed Rick sitting on the sidewalk just outside the store.

it turns out he'd passed out from heat exhaustion. while we were talking to him this fellow brought him a plate of food, turns out the owner of the Indian restaurant (that's right next door) had seen what happened and helped him out, he ended up bringing us (all 3 of us) into his resturant and not only was he incredibly helpful with Rick, cold compresses water food etc etc etc, but even after Rick had gone home (his brother came and picked him up) Tony and i stayed behind figuring the least least we could do was have some food and give this person some monies.

well he wasn't hearing any of it, didn't charge any of us a dime. i was frankly stunned at the generosity of this person.

i'm probably not telling the story well, but suffice it to say the owner went far above and beyond, and i was very impressed.

to be sure when we game we'll make a point of eating there when we can, it's the least we can do.

----on to other stuffs; i'm closing in on what course to look at, and i'm fairly confident i can get in to college, so that's handy, it'll take some juggling but more and more i'm convinced it's do-able.

sadly i won't be able to go into psychology like i'd *really* like too, but 11 years of school at this stage of the game just isn't possible, but Marketing/business looks to be really cool and fun and rewarding, if not as fulfilling as Psych would be, but despite that i'm still enthusiastic.,

i didn't get one of the jobs i was up for but i'm actually really ok with that, it's with a small company and i'd feel really bad about taking a job for only 4 months and then leaving to go to school......if i get the job at MBNA well, that i won't care so much about as they're merely a call centre, and they have high turnover anyways...and given that it's a pretty crappy job it won't bother me all that much as i know it'll be over soon, if all goes according to plan.

on the gaming front i've been playing the Trollbloods, and i'm quite pleased with their performance, it's taken some getting used to, esp Fury management, and the idea that a Warbeast has to be in my control range to force, but even so, it's been a blast, and a really pleasant change of pace.

and since finishing the Runes last week i haven't really invested more time in things Asatru, i'm a little unsure of where to go next, truthfully there are a few books i'd like some of which i have on DVD but i like reading hard-copies.....so i think i'm going to have to bite the bullet and pick up Our Troth, but it's going to be fracking expensive, and applying to college is fairly expensive in and of itself.

other than that i'm sure there are important things i'm missing but i'm tired....so i think i'll go sleeps...
