ryn: im not sure of your military involvement.. but thats not QUITE what she meant. a major is a major is a major, within army, no matter what your country is between aussie, english or usa.
but the rank bits are so different! what denomiates a major aus is different to any US rank slide/insigna.
we learn all your services..i thought i was rude. he didnt care.
what she was getting at is that different services are quite different, ie navy/army/airforce/marines as well. some of the ranks are a little different,..
so to try to transverse all those might be a problem. but we can do it

ryn: LOl as you said originally, its more about making sure they know who is who, to keep dicipline right.
. everyone has an important place in the military,
he has been a private.. LOL and an airman in the past. (has served airforce and army)
he has come a long way to be a major and hasnt forgotten that.
