 At the coffee shop
Sitting by the window
Watching all the people walking by
I wonder what they are all thinking
I look left and see the student
Furiously working on some sort of paper
I look right and see the happy couple
They look completely at ease
Looking around again
There are the best friends
One looks like they want to be more than that
The workers are busy getting out orders
All of this going on around me
Yet here I sit
Quietly observing everyone and everything
Watching the lives of everyone else go by
It takes me to a different world
One where I am invisible
It is a comforting feeling
Being able to watch everyone else
I know there are the few watching me
I don't really care
In walks the hard working woman
Getting her daily dose of caffine
As the people start to leave
As I sit by myself
I sense the emotions of everyone
Stress, happiness, and confusion are all over
The only relief they get is their coffee or whatever drink it may be
All of this is going on around me
All of this
