Tell me a story (Nov. 21st)

01/29/2014

“Tell me a story,” Hel rested her head on her hands as she sat behind Moody’s desk.

“I’m not here to tell you stories,” Moody returned, “and you’re not here to listen to them either. You’re here to serve detention.”

Harlequin yawned and rolled her eyes, “every sneak-a-scope is beyond polished, same with the foe-glass. I’ve graded all the essays your students have bothered to turn in. You won’t let me near the trunk, soooo, tell me a story to finish out my time.”

“I will do no such thing.”

“But you’re supposed to be one of the greatest Aurors that ever was.” Hel returned, “you should have all kinds of stories to tell.”

“That I might have,” the wizard returned, “but they aren’t for the likes of you.”

The witch frowned, “but Professor, with all the Dark Wizards you’ve captured…Just one story. Please?”

“No,” Moody grumbled once more.

Hel got up from the desk, moving across the room, “Professor Lupin told me stories,” a pout formed on her lips, as she blinked up at the man who seemed intent on ignoring her. “You’re mean.” The witch crossed her arms and turned her back to the wizard in a huff.

“I’m not here to be nice Miss LaCroix,” Moody returned. “And don’t touch that!”

Harlequin’s hand had been hovering over the trunk, “Grrrr.” The witch signed and turned back around to face the Auror. “Just give me a hint.”

“Have you talked to Dumbledore yet?” Moody questioned, ignoring the witch’s request.

“No,” Hel returned, “I’ve been too busy polishing sneak-a-scopes.” She watched as Moody took a drink from his hip flask, then carefully replacing it. “How ‘bout you tell me what’s in there then?”

“Also not meant for you,” the wizard growled. “If you don’t have anything else to keep you busy, get on out of here.”

“Fine,” Hel huffed, glancing at the trunk once more before heading for the door. “You really are no fun what so ever.”

Moody hmpfed in her general direction as the witch slipped through the door, only to have her peek her head back in, “are you sure you won’t tell me a story?”

“Out!” Hel stuck out her tongue in return, slipped back out the door and went off to find Jasmine.
