i took myself out for a lovely lunch today. just me, my blackberry, a bridal magazine, and some scrumptious sushi. it was fantastic.
i took a few pictures of my tasty meal, and figured that if i was going to post those, i might as well do a bit of a blackberry photo dump. ta da!


[some lunch. dynamite roll, spicy tuna and spicy salmon handrolls, salmon sushi.]


[bikkuri's shrimp tempura is among the best i've ever had. soooo delicious!]


[fact: if you are a man with long blond hair, wearing a denim shirt and TIGHT LEOPARD PRINT JEANS, and you come to my sushi spot with your boho chic airhead girlfriend, i WILL photocreep you.]


[my sugarpill order from december: chromalust in weekender, darling (my favourite!), and stella, plus a sample of goldilux. i <3 sugarpill!]


[turns out i'm sort of a hat person after all?]

Beats heck out of my house--table covered in school books and junk mail, dinner balanced on the tiny stool I built last quarter, with drinks on the bookshelf and the windowsill. Sad state of affairs, this. Would you believe that I actually have a hella classy tablecloth, damask napkins, and black "company" dishes? I could totally class it up. I just don't, really.

i am so not a tablecloth type.
i used to have a cheapie vinyl one on my old table, just because it was ugly yard sale furniture. we do tablecloths about twice a year: thanksgiving and christmas. it's just such a pain. silencer, iron table cloth, set table, eat, spill all over everything, wash table cloth. i'm too lazy.

I can't pull off the hat look.
I always end up wanting to take the hat off after a while, anyway, and then I have hat hair and it's just a mess.

i don't know... i always said i couldn't do hats either.
i still think i'd look ridiculous in a summer hat of any variety.
but function over fashion, first and foremost here in the winter, and then, voila, i found one that was warm AND cute.
