Good way to start vacation... a smiley filled entry

So yesterday was the first day of vacation.
I took a nap on the couch with Elora and cleaned a little... but mostly took a nap.
Pretty awesome day.

Today was much the same in the way of awesome.
Baby was up early but fell asleep after her morning bottle.
So... we slept in for another three and half hours.
Crazy's vacation started today, so she watched the baby while I went with Berta to get stuff to do tie-dye later this week.
Then Crazy, Daddy, the baby and I all hopped into the car and went to the pool. It was Elora's first time there. So that was fun. I ran into a guy I knew in high school who has a son a month younger than Elora.

Before we left my mom and I were bouncing around in the shallow end with Elora, and my dad was my dad.
Meaning he was like "Dunk her. She'll hate it but she'll get over it."
He was right. She freaked out... but she did stop crying pretty quick.

I shit you not, when I was a kid... maybe 4? He took me to the deeper end, tossed me in and told me to swim lol. He was right there the whole time and had been trained as a lifeguard (FYI that's how my parents met. They worked at the same pool ) so I was safe.. but that's how I learned to swim. He just chucked me in and let me figure it out. Kind of a cool thing when done properly.

We went home and baby passed out after the car ride. Then it was on to hang out with Valerie. There was a plan to walk to Subway to get our exercise in and have a halfway decent dinner... but it was wet and yucky and threatening to storm. So we hung out with baby and ordered Pizza Hut. I only went over three points lol.
It was fun. Elora was amused by throwing almost everything on the table to the floor and beating up Valerie and Melissa's old Raggedy Anne dolls.
There were pictures taken... and a mess made with crayons.

Valerie said she'd post them sometime soon.
She was impressed by how cute Elora got when she started getting sleepy.

I think right now I'm gonna go have a shower ad make a tutu... or try and make one any way.

Oh... I just got out of the shower. And I though... "Hmmm... why are my shoulders stinging?.... Hey I have a tan... Nope. That's not tan. It's red." lol
I have sun for the first time in years lol.
I haven't been able to lay out in a long time with work and everything.
I miss that.
